Contouring Pale Papaya

Today I decided to play with one of my favorite new bundles the I have been having some fun with Color & Contour and one of the beautiful new 2021 – 2023 In Colors, Pale Papaya.  So here is what I came up with…

The card base is Pale Papaya cardstock that is cut 5 ½ x 8 ½”, scored at 2 1/8 and 4 ¼”.  The card is folded in half at the 4 ¼” score line and then the front is folded back to the left on the 2 1/8” score line making this a cute Fun Fold card.

Let’s get started making all the layers (and yes there are a number of them).  I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock out using the largest of the rectangles from the dies in the bundle (this is for the inside of the card).  I then cut out a piece of Pale Papaya cardstock using the second largest of the rectangle dies from the bundle.  Next, I cut out a piece of Basic White cardstock using the third largest of the dies from the bundle.  I stamped the flower from the stamp set in the bundle onto a piece of Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and die cut it using the coordinating die from the bundle.  I colored it using my Stampin’ Blends, I used the Pale Papaya and the Soft Succulent blends.

I stamped the sentiment “a little note…” onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock using Soft Succulent Ink, this sentiment is from the Enjoy the Moment stamp set (I wanted to use this as it is my intent to make a whole pack of these “note cards” in different colors to give as a Christmas gift).  I used the small flag die from the Tasteful Labels dies to cut it out (there are some great label shapes in this set).  I stamped the small bud from the set onto the inside piece and envelope and colored them using the same blends (I will show that below).

Now it is time to put it all together.  I cut a piece of the 2021 – 2023 In Color DSP (the Pale Papaya) that measured 2 x 5 3/8” and adhered it to the front of the card.  I then added my largest white die cut piece to the inside of the card (this gives you a good basis to build and keep all the layers even).  Next, I added my Pale Papaya layer and then my Basic White layer.  I added my die cut and colored flower to the center of this and my little sentiment using some Mini Dimensionals.

For my final additions I added a little bow created from the Pale Papaya Ribbon using a Mini Glue dot right onto the flower.  I also added three of the Champaign Rhinestones.  Now, lets take a look at what I did with the inside of the card and the envelope shall we?

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.
