LUXE FOLIAGE SYMPATHY CARDS

Today’s cards feature the Luxe Foliage Specialty Designer Series Paper which is a product of the month.  That means you can purchase this paper while supplies last for just $5 with a qualifying $75 purchase.  I saw some cards that Mary Knabe created with this paper on Pinterst and was inspired to make some of my own.  Here is what I came up with…

The card bases are Very Vanilla cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I cut two pieces of Peaceful Pine cardstock to 3 ¾ x 5” and added it to the front of the cards.  Then I cut two a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock to 3 ½ x 4 ¾” and embossed them using the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder and added those to the center of the green layers.  I cut two pieces of the Luxe Foliage Specialty Designer Series Paper to 1 ½ x 4 ¼” and cut the bottoms into a little flag (best part of this design is you can make 12 cards using just one 12 x 12” piece of the DSP) and added that to the left side of the card over about ¼” from the edge of the very vanilla. 

With the bases complete I punched out 2 circles using the 2 3/8" Circle Punch from Very Vanilla cardstock and stamped my sentiments “As you grieve may your memories comfort you, your faith strengthen you, and may hope heal your heart” and “Praying that the Lord’s promises bring you hope & comfort in the days ahead” using Peaceful Pine Ink.  Both of these sentiments are from one of my favorite stamp sets for creating these types of cards and it is Prayers & Promises.  I added those circles using Dimensionals and for a final embellishment I added three little green and gold gems (they are retired but there are lots of options you could use).
