Plant Kindness

I am still having a blast with the Autumn Goodness Bundle.  Today I decided to make my own Designer Series Paper using stamps and ink and I am pretty happy with the outcome.

The card base Cajun Craze cardstock that is cut 5 ½ x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”.

I stamped the floral image from the stamp set all over the front of the card base using Cajun Craze ink to create my own Designer Series Paper.

I then cut a piece of Crushed Curry cardstock cut using Stitched Rectangle Dies and stamped the sentiment “PLANT kindness harvest LOVE” from the stamp set in the top right corner with Cajun Craze ink.  I stamped my wheelbarrow and the wheel on Soft Suede cardstock with Early Espresso ink and die cut both.  For the top of the wheel I die cut it from the Brushed Metallic cardstock and layered the pieces.  I stamped the floral image onto Very Vanilla cardstock using Rich Cocoa Memento (not a Stampin’ Up! product, but you could use Tuxedo Black Memento instead).  I attached all the wheelbarrow pieces and place on the card front with Dimensionals and then added my florals which I colored using the Stampin’ Blends listed below.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.

Fall is in the Air

I have been playing around with the Autumn Goodness Bundle and the beautiful coordinating Gilded Autumn Specialty Paper and here is another card made with them…

The card base is Early Espresso cardstock that is cut 5 ½ x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”.  I then layered on a piece of the Designer Series paper that measured 2 x 4” (this paper is two sided and for this card I used one of the more neutral designs but it has some beautiful papers with metallic elements as well) onto a piece of Soft Suede cardstock that measured 4 x 5 ¼”.  I stamped my sentiment (also from the bundle) in the top right corner with Early Espresso ink.

Then I started to prepare all my focal points.  I cut the fence (the die actually embosses the piece to look like real wood but doesn’t show great in the photo) from Early Espresso cardstock.  I stamped my wheelbarrow pieces on Soft Suede with Early Espresso ink and die cut them with the coordinating dies.  I stamped my wheat onto a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock using Bumble Bee ink and my harvest basket and pumpkins onto another scrap using Crumb Cake ink.

Then I simply colored my pumpkins and basket of fruit with my Stampin’ Blend Markers (the markers are listed below) and started to assemble.  I added my wheat and then overlaid it with the fence.  I tucked my pumpkins and fruit in the back of the wagon and attached them.  Then I attached my wagon wheel and popped the whole wheelbarrow up on Dimensionals.

For the inside of the card and the envelope you could either add some more wheat or one of the other images in the set, there is a lot to choose from.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.

Evergreen Forrest

As soon as I got the new holiday catalog, I knew that the Evergreen Forrest 3D Embossing Folder was a must have.  I just loved the pine trees and I knew I could use it for a whole lot more than just a Christmas card, so that’s what I did.

Here is what I came up with…

First, I need to apologize for the photography here, it is almost impossible (even with my photo booth) to get a picture of our beautiful foil papers without a bunch of glare. With that said I can assure you this is a beautiful card for sure.

The card base is Whisper White cardstock that is cut 5 ½ x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”.  I also cut a piece of the Whisper White to 1 x 3” to use later for my sentiment.  Next, I cut a piece of Night of Navy cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and a piece of the Brass Foil Sheet to 2 x 5 ¼” and I adhered the foil sheet onto the night of navy as shown in the photo.  Once they were adhered, I ran them through my die cutting machine using the beautiful Evergreen Forrest 3D Embossing Folder.

I adhered this layer to the front of my card base using Dimensionals.  I stamped my sentiment from the Lovely You bundle onto my piece of 1 x 3” Whisper white and used the coordinating punch in the bundle to cut one end.  I added the sentiment to the front of the card using Dimensionals and added a single Blue Holiday Rhinestones Basic Jewel.

As you can see this is a very simple yet elegant card.  The sentiment could be changed to make it anything from a Christmas card to a Masculine Birthday card, the sky is the limit.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.

Fun with a Slimline Card and Envelope

I have been having seen these slimline cards all over the place lately and I really wanted to try my hand at one.  I watched several people’s videos and checked out a bunch of blogs and decided what I liked and what I didn’t (there are a lot of ways to make these kind of cards) and here is what I came up with…

The card base is Smoky Slate cardstock that is cut to 7 x 8 ½” and scored at 3 ½” on the 7” side).

To create the next layer, I started with a piece of Whisper White cardstock that measured 3 ¼ x 8 ¼” to this I added a piece of the Peony Garden Designer Series Paper that measured 3 x 8”.  I wrapped a piece of the Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon around this layer and tied a nice bow.  I then adhered this to the card base.

I stamped two of the Peonies, three of the leaves and the sentiment from the Prized Peony Bundle onto Whisper White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink.  I then die cut my flowers and leaves using the dies from the bundle.  I die cut my sentiment out using the Stitched So Sweetly dies (I used these really often).  Once everything was cut out, I added my sentiment to the bottom right of the card using Dimensionals.  I colored my flowers with the Dark Petal Pink, Light Flirty Flamingo and Light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.  To make my flowers really pop (you can’t really see it in the pictures) I used some of the Champaign Mist Shimmer Paint to give it a really shimmer look.  To do this I added three drops of the paint into a Stampin’ Spritzer and filled the spritzer the remainder of the way with isopropyl alcohol and shook it really well and then sprayed the flowers (the affect is amazing).   For the leaves I colored them using the Old Olive Combo Stampin’ Blends.  I added the flowers and leaves to my card using Dimensionals.

For a nice finishing touch, I used three of the Rhinestone Basic Jewels.  I also cut a second piece of the Whisper White cardstock to 3 ¼ x 8 ¼” for the inside and stamped the smallest of the Peonies onto it using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored them with the same Stampin’ Blends as the large flowers (I did the same thing on the envelope).

Of course, this card requires a special envelope (now don’t worry it is about the size of a #10 business envelope so you won’t have to pay an arm and a leg to mail it.  Here is how that is made…

Begin with a piece of Whisper White cardstock that measures 8 ½ x 11”.  With the 8 ½” side along the top of your Simply Scored Tool score the cardstock at 2 1/2” and 6 ½”, then turn it so the 11” side is along the top of your Simply Scored Tool and score the cardstock at 1 ½” and 10 ½”.  Cut away the outer tabs on both ends and miter as shown here.  While the envelope remains unfolded it is a good time to stamp it as shown in the second picture here.

Now it is as simple as reinforcing all the score lines with your bone folder.  To seal the envelope, I used Tear & Tape and you will see that one of the longer sides is a little shorter than the other, this is the top one so put your Tear & Tape on it.  Also, add Tear & Tape to the bottom and top flaps.  When your envelope is done it will look like this…

I hope you enjoy this card it was certainly fun to create.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.
