THANKFUL FOR YOU

Today’s card features the Fern & Flora Bundle and the Moonlit Flora Designer Series Paper.  I wanted to keep this card simple to show that you don’t have to go over the top with supplies to create a nice card.  Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Golden Glow cardstock cut to 4 ¼ x 11” and scored at 5 ½”.  Something as simple as changing the direction your card opens can be a nice touch.  This card opens up instead of from the side for some added interest since it is a simple card.  I cut a layer of the Moonlit Flora Designer Series Paper to 4 x 5 ¼” and before attaching it to the card base, I wrapped it with a piece of the Golden Glow Bordered Ribbon.  Once this layer was attached, I stamped both the border and sentiment for that layer onto a scrap of Soft Sea Foam cardstock using Peaceful Pine Ink and cut it out with the coordinating label die from the bundle.  I added this to the card using Mini Dimensionals.  It works best if you place the mini dimensionals at the very top and bottom of the sentiment so they attach to the DSP instead of the ribbon.

For the inside I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and stamped the floral image from the bundle on the bottom right side using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (no longer available at Stampin’ Up! but available elsewhere) and colored it using the Golden Glow and Peaceful Pine Stampin’ Blend Markers.  If you wanted to cut back on supplies even more you could simply use a piece of the scraps of Designer Series Paper and add a little strip about ½ x 4” at the bottom of the white layer.
