HOT FOILED ANNIVERSARY CARD

Today’s card features the new Stampin’ Hot Foil System and the beautiful Garden Silhouette Hot Foil Die.  This die is so amazing it does all the heavy lifting.  Just heat up the machine, add the die, the foil and cardstock and run it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and you have a beautiful card front.  Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Basic White cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 3 7/8 x 5 1/8” and added Light Pink Foil using the Garden Silhouette Hot Foil Die.  I added this to a piece of Bubble Bath cardstock that measured 4 1/8 x 5 3/8” and wrapped those with a pretty ribbon that is a retired item (there are several ribbons that would look nice or use something from your stash like I did).  I attached this to the card base.  For my sentiment I chose to use “Happy Anniversary” from the Phrases & Frames Stamp Set.  I stamped it onto a piece of Bubble Bath cardstock that measured 1 x 2 ½” using VersaMark Ink.  I added the silver Metallics Wow! Embossing Powder and heat set the sentiment.  I cut a little flag tail on the right side and added it to my card with Mini Dimensionals.  I like the ability to mix the hot foil with heat embossing, it looks really nice together.

To finish off the card I added three Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the front.  I stamped the sentiment “Anniversaries are for celebrating the joys of today, the memories of yesterday, and the hopes of tomorrow.” also from the Phrases & Frames Stamp Set.  I used Tuxedo Black Memento Ink for this but you could use any color you wanted to (I think Bubble Bath would have looked nice as well).
