GETTING THE MOST OUT OF A 3 x 3” PIECE OF DSP (7-13-26)

Today’s card is another created using a template.  This template features a 3 x 3” piece of Designer Series Paper (I love this paper so I am especially happy to have it go further).  While my template is a portrait layout I am switching it up for this card and using it on a landscape oriented card.  I love working with templates it is such a great way to get inspired and knowing I can switch things up as I go.  Here is what I came up with...

Here is the template I used…

The card base is Berry Burst cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I added a layer of Mossy Meadow cardstock that measured 4 x 5 ¼” (I embossed this layer with a retired embossing folder that is ferns but there is a new folder that coordinates with this paper if you want it).  Next, I cut a piece of Berry Burst cardstock to 3 ¼ x 3 ¼”.  I took my piece of Moonlit Flora Designer Series Paper that was a 3 x 3” piece and cut it into three strips that measured 5/16 x 3” (there is a tiny piece of waste) and attached them to my Berry Burst layer leaving equal reveals around all the pieces (about 1/8”).  I added this to the left center of my card (about ½” from the left side) using Dimensionals.  I stamped my sentiment “Happy Birthday” from the Banners Saying Bundle onto a scrap of Berry Burst cardstock using Mossy Meadow Ink and punched it out using the coordinating punch.

Next, I went to work with the Fern & Flora Dies.  I cut out the largest fern from the dies using Berry Burst cardstock and added it to the right side of my card.  I die cut out three of the flowers from the dies using a scrap Basic White cardstock and three of the flower centers using a scrap of Daffodil Delight cardstock.  Before adhering the flowers together, I added just a hint of Berry Burst Ink using my Water Painter to add some color.  I adhered the centers and them adhered the flowers to the base of the fern.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and more on my website at https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2206796 or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.  Be sure to follow me at:
