SENDING VIOLETS AND LOVE

Today’s card features the Framed Violets Stamp Set and the Violet Dreams Designer Series Paper.  I love the depth of the colors in this DSP and I have always loved Violets so I couldn’t wait to create with these products.  Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Secret Sea cardstock cut to 4 ¼ x 11” and scored at 4 and 9 ½”.  I folded both score lines to the front of the card.  On the left side I added a layer of Highland Heather cardstock that measured 3 ¾ x 4” and on top of that I added a layer of the Violet Dreams DSP that measured 3 3/8 x 3 7/8”.  On the right side I added a layer of Highland Heather cardstock that measured 1 ¼ x 4” and on top of that I added a layer of the DSP that measured 1 1/8 x 3 7/8”.

I used the Spotlight on Nature Dies to cut two circles, the larger out of Highland Heather (tip: cut this out of the center of the layer you are placing under the DSP on the left side of the card, great way to save paper since you can’t see under the DSP) and the smaller one I cut out of Barely Blush cardstock.  I stamped my sentiment from the stamp set “Sending Love” onto the center of the barely blush circle using Secret Sea Ink.  I then added this layer to my card using Dimensionals (be sure not to stick it to the right side opening or your card will not be able to open).  I had some retired gems in my stash that worked perfectly so I added them for interest. 

For the inside of the card I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and stamped the violets from the stamp set onto the corner of it using Barely Blush Ink.
