MORE FUN WITH HOT FOIL

I just can’t get enough of this new Hot Foil System from Stampin’ Up!  It is so much fun to work with and the results are so totally satisfying.  Today I worked with the Botanical Glow Bundle.  This bundle includes coordinating stamps and foil dies and it is awesome.  Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Lost Lagoon cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I cut a layer of Gold Foil to 4 x 5 ¼” (note here:  be sure to cut the center out of your gold layer, either just cut it out or do some die cut images but there is no reason to waste all that pretty gold foil just covering it up with another layer).  I then cut another layer of the Lost Lagoon cardstock to 3 ¾ x 5” and stamped my leaf image onto it using Lost Lagoon Ink.  With that complete I headed over to my Hot Foil System and foiled some additional leaves onto this layer.  I love how they compliment one another and the gold really adds to the card.

I attached this to the gold foil layer and wrapped it with Gold Striped Mesh Band Ribbon and tied that into a nice square knot (I really like this kind of knot for cards I am mailing).  With the ribbon on I attached these layers to my card base.  I stamped my sentiment “Happiest Birthday Wishes” from the Phrases & Frames stamp set onto a scrap of Lost Lagoon cardstock using VersaMark Ink.  I added Metallics Wow! Embossing Powder (I used to gold) and heat embossed the sentiment.  I fussy cut around the sentiment and added it to my card with Mini Dimensionals.  To finish the front, I added three of the Adhesive Backed Metallic Gems.

For the inside of the card, I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and stamped the sentiment “May your day be filled with love and happiness” from the Phrases & Frames stamp set using Lost Lagoon Ink.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and more on my website at https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2206796 or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.  Be sure to follow me at:
