Irresistible Hello

Today’s card uses some of the Hello, Irresistible Designer Series Paper (an online exclusive not shown in any of the catalogs) along with the Meadows Dies (a returning favorite of mine).  I decided to play up the Flirty Flamingo color in the DSP.  Here is what I came up with…

Here is another card using the same items and cutting instructions just choosing a different Designer Series Paper from the package.

The card base is Flirty Flamingo cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 1/2” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I then cut a piece of Basic White to 4 x 2 ¾” and embossed it using the Painted Textures 3D Embossing Folder.  I cut a piece of the Designer Series Paper to 4 x 2 5/8” and placed it at the top of my card base and the embossed white piece at the bottom.  To cover the intersection of the two I cut another piece of the Designer Series Paper (this time I chose a very neutral piece so my sentiment would show) to 4 x ¾” and I stamped my simple sentiment “hello” from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set on to it using VersaMark ink and then heat embossed it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and adhered it over the intersection of the two other pieces.

To decorate the card, I cute the two die cut images shown (two flowers and the butterfly) from the Meadows Dies out of Basic White cardstock.  I used a Blending Brush and Flirty Flamingo to add color to the areas I wanted it on the dies (I covered the whole butterfly but just the tops of the flowers).  I used Mini Dimensionals under the tops of the flower dies but just attached the stems directly to the card.  I used two Mini Dimensionals (one under each wing of the butterfly) to pop up my butterfly, but be sure to use your bonefolder to give your wings a little curve before attaching.

To finish the card, I added three Iridescent Pearls Basic Jewels to the body of the butterfly and two additional ones to the centers of my flowers.  I made a bow out of the Flirty Flamingo Metallic Ribbon and used a Mini Glue Dot to adhere it to the card.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.

Boho Blue Me

Today’s card features Boho Blue another of the new in-colors.  I also used the new Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper along with an old favorite, the Color & Contour Stamps and coordinating Scalloped Contours Dies.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Boho Blue cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 1/2” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and added a piece of the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper that measures 1 ½ x 5 ½” to the left side about 3/8” in.  On the right side of that DSP I added a piece of the new Boho Blue Textured Ribbon and adhered it to the back of the layer.  I added this layer to my card base.  Next, I cut a piece of Boho Blue cardstock out using one of the dies from the Scalloped Contours Dies.  I added a piece of Basic White cardstock that measured 2 ½ x 3 ¾” to the center of the die cut and adhered it to the center front of the card using Dimensionals.  I stamped my image from the Color & Contour Stamp Set onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock (this is why I keep all those scraps) using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and die cut it using the coordinating Scalloped Contours Dies.  I colored it in using the light Boho Blue and Dark Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Blend Markers and added it to my card front using more Dimensionals.  For my final embellishment I added three of the 2023 – 2025 In Color Dots.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.

Irresistible Blooms in Moody Mauve

Today’s card features one of the new in-colors, Moody Mauve.  I love how this color works with the Irresistible Blooms Bundle from the Online Exclusives.  I really wanted to play around with this new color and I am happy with the results.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Moody Mauve cardstock cut to 4 ¼ x 11” and scored at 5 1/2”.  I cut another layer of the Moody Mauve into a mat that measured 4 1/8 x 5 3/8”, I embossed this layer with the Basics 3D Embossing Folder (this is another of the Online Exclusive products, there are three really nice basic 3D Embossing Folders in this set).  I then cut a piece of Moody Mauve cardstock to 3 x 4 ¼” and stamped one of the flowers from the Irresistible Blooms stamp set all over it using Moody Mauve ink to create my own Designer Series Paper that is tone on tone.

Next, I cut a piece of the another of the new In-Colors called Pebbled Path to 1 ½ x4 ¼” and then I tore it along the bottom (tear towards yourself for the best look).  I wrapped some of the Bakers Twine around this piece twice and tied a bow before adding it to my card front with Dimensionals.  I stamped one of the flowers and one of the leaves from the stamp set onto a piece of Basic White cardstock using VersaMark Ink and then added White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set it using my heat tool.  I used my Water Painters and added Moody Mauve ink to the flower and Old Olive ink to the leaves.  Remember, you can make different tones of color by adding more or less water to the ink.  I die cut these using the coordinating dies from the bundle and added them to the front of my card as well.  I did use Dimensionals under the flower but just glued the leaves to the piece of Pebbled Path cardstock.  For my final addition I added three of the Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins (it is nice that these are adhesive backed as it makes them easier to work with).

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.

Vellum Magic

I just love adding vellum to my cards but this new Vellum Basics Specialty Paper really makes it even more fun.  There are three different designs on the sheets of vellum (today I am using the one with leaves).  I paired this vellum up with the Dainty Delights stamps and dies I hope you like today’s card.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Soft Sea Foam cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 1/2” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I then cut another layer from the Soft Sea Foam cardstock that measures 4 1/8 x 5 3/8” and embossed it with the Timeworn 3D Embossing Folder (love the character embossing adds to projects).  I then cut a piece of the Bellum Basics Paper using one of the dies from the Scalloped Contours Dies and popped it up on the card using Mini Dimensionals (I placed these in such a way that they would be covered up by the embellishments I was adding on top).

I started gathering all my other pieces for the card.  I die cut my stem of leaves and my dandelion from the Dainty Delights dies using Soft Sea Foam cardstock.  I stamped the flowers from the Dainty Delights stamp set onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored them in using the Soft Sea Foam and Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends Markers before die cutting them with the coordinating die.  I stamped my sentiment “Celebrate You” from the stamp set onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock using Soft Sea Foam Ink and then die cut it using the Stylish Shapes Dies (I use these dies a lot).

Now that I had all the pieces, I began my final assembly.  I added the stem of leaves up the left side of my vellum layer (trick: use the Multipurpose Glue, pour some onto the Silicone Mat and use a sponge to added it to the back of these delicate pieces, makes it so much easier to adhere them).  Next, I added my dandelion and then finally my flowers over the top of that, for this piece I used more of those Mini Dimensionals.  I added my sentiment and a bow that I created using some retired Soft Sea Foam Ribbon using Mini Glue Dots.  For my final addition I added three of the Loose Frosted Dots.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.
