VELVET MEADOWS THINKING OF YOU (10-26-2026)

Today’s card features the beautiful Velvet Meadows Specialty Designer Series Paper (yes there are parts of the paper that are raised and feel like velvet) and the Phrases & Frames Stamp Set.  Sometimes you just need to let someone know that they are on your mind and that you care and a simple card is just what you need.  This card was inspired by a card I saw that was created by The Westcoast Papercrafter.  Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Peaceful Pine cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I cut a piece of Basic Beige cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and then two pieces of Peaceful Pine cardstock to ½ x 5” (x2) and a piece of the Velvet Meadows Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) to 2 ¼ x5”.  I stamped my sentiment “Thinking of You” from the Phrases & Frames stamp set onto the upper right corner using Berry Burst Ink.  Next, I began to build my layers.  I started with my DSP and adhered it to the right side of the Basic Beige cardstock layer being sure to keep a consistent border on the right side and top and bottom.  Next, I added a strip of the Peaceful Pines cardstock to the left of that with that same border and finally I added the second strip of the Peaceful Pines to the left side of this layer again being sure to keep that same border.  Once that layer was done, I added Barely Blush Bordered Ribbon in the center of the two Peaceful Pines strips and tied it in a square knot.  I added this layer to my card base.

For the inside of the card, I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and stamped the sentiment “May your day be filled with love and happiness” from the Phrases & Frames Stamp Set in Berry Burst Ink.  To finish the project off I cut a piece of the DSP to 2 x 6” and added it to the flap of my envelope.  This was a little narrow so I just trimmed the envelope a little (I hate to waste pretty DSP so I do this often so I can get more envelopes out of a single piece of DSP).  I did use a corner rounder on the corners of the envelope flap after I cut it down.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and more on my website at https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2206796 or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.  Be sure to follow me at:
