A FALL HELLO

Today’s card features the Simply Leaves Bundle.  I was asked by my team leader to present four cards for our monthly team meeting using the Simply Leaves Bundle.  While I was creating with the bundle I realized just how versitle it is so expect lots more posts using it.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Golden Glow cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I cut a layer of Cajun Craze cardstock to 3 7/8 x 5 1/8” and to that I added a layer of the 2026 – 2028 In Color Gingham Gallery Designer Series Paper (I chose to use the Golden Glow paper) that measured 3 ¾ x 5”.  I stamped one of the leaves from the stamps in the bundle onto three scraps of cardstock.  The first was stamped with Cajun Craze Ink onto a scrap of Cajun Craze cardstock (I love the tone-on-tone look), next was one stamped in Pumpkin Pie Ink onto a scrap of Pumpkin Pie cardstock and the final one was stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink onto a scrap of Shaded Spruce cardstock.  I used the coordinating punch to punch each of the leaves out.

I added my leaves using Dimensionals keeping them to the left side of the card.  Next, I cut a piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock to 1 x 3 1/8” and stamped the sentiment “A little something to say hello” onto it using Cajun Craze Ink, once the stamping was done, I flagged the end of the sentiment.  To finish off the front of the card I added a bow made of Linen Thread and attached it using a Mini Glue Dot.  Three of the 2026- 2028 In Color Dots (I chose to use the Peaceful Pine ones) finished off the card perfectly.

For the inside I simply cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and stamped one of the leaves in Pumpkin Pie in the right corner and added a little strip of the DSP that measured ½ x 5”.  This was a really simple and fast card and could be recreated in numerous different colors easily.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and more on my website at https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2206796 or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.  Be sure to follow me at:
