HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Today’s card features both the Welcome Noel Bundle and the Noel Tidings Bundle along with the Neutral Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper featured in the new September – December Mini Catalog.  I fell in love with both of these bundles and immediately started thinking of all the great things I could make with them.  This one was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest and I recreated using some of my own colors and ideas.  Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Basic Beige cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.   I embossed a piece of Basic Beige cardstock that measured 4 x 5 ¼” with the Softly Woven 3D Embossing Folder, another new product from the new catalog, and added it to my card base.  I added a piece of the Neutral Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper that measured 2 x 4” to the left side of the card.

Then I stamped everything I would need for the card onto Basic White cardstock.  From the Welcome Noel stamp set I stamped the tallest house using Pecan Pie Ink, the smallest house using Crumb Cake Ink and the deer using Early Espresso Ink.  From the Noel Tidings stamp set I stamped two of the pine branches (the thinnest one) using Peaceful Pine Ink, two of the medium thick branches using Old Olive Ink and two of the branches using Pecan Pie Ink.  With everything stamped I used the coordinating dies from each of the two bundles to cut everything out.  I also cut out the flagged sentiment label and a bunch of the holly berries (the die cuts five at a time) out of Cherry Cobbler cardstock and a wreath from the Welcome Noel Dies out of a scrap of Peaceful Pine cardstock.

To assemble the front of the card I added one of each of the different pine bows on each side along with one of pecan pie stamped branches.  Then I took the holly berries that I had die cut and added just a touch of dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blend Marker on each before attaching them to the branches.  With all that adhered to the card I stamped my sentiment “season’s greetings” onto the Cherry Cobbler label I had die cut using Peaceful Pine Ink.  I added the sentiment to the bottom right using Dimensionals.  Next, I added my largest house and then the smaller one using Dimensionals.  To finish off the front of the card I added my deer in front of my large house and the wreath to it’s gable.

For the inside of the card, I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼”.  I stamped the cute little line of houses from the Welcome Noel stamp set onto the bottom (I had to stamp once and then add stamp it part way again so it would go all the way across my card) using Crumb Cake Ink and added a deer I stamped using Early Espresso.  I finished the inside off by adding the sentiment “Merry Christmas” from the Noel Tidings stamp set in Peaceful Pine Ink.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and more on my website at https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2206796 or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.  Be sure to follow me at:
