FUN WITH A TEMPLATE

This card was inspired by a card template that I have used for years.  I love the simplicity of the design and it makes some quick and easy cards.  Here it is the template and the card I created from it…

The card base is Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I cut a layer of Barely Blush cardstock to 3 ½ x 4 ¾” and added a piece of the 2026 – 2028 In Color Painted Patterns Designer Series Paper (of course I used one of the crisp cantaloupe sheets) that measured 3 3/8 x 4 5/8”.

Next, I cut a piece of Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock to 1 ¾ x 4 ¼” and added another of piece of that 2026 – 2028 In Color Painted Patterns Designer Series Paper (this time I picked the polka dots) that measured 1 5/8 x 4 1/16” and placed that across the center of the card.  I used one of the Circle Punches, the 2 3/8” one to punch out a circle from Basic White cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment “Thanks” from the bundle onto the bottom left of the circle with Crisp Cantaloupe Ink.  I then proceeded to stamp one of the larger leaves onto a scrap of Basic White in Barely Blush and one in Crisp Cantaloupe and I punched them out using the coordinating punch.  I stamped one of the small leaves onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock using Crisp Cantaloupe Ink and fussy cut it.  I added all three of the leaves to my white circle and added the circle onto the right center of my card using Dimensionals.

To finish off the front of the card I made a simple square knot bow out of Crisp Cantaloupe Bordered Ribbon and attached it to the circle with a Mini Glue Dot.  I added one large and one small of the 2026 – 2028 In Color Dots (crisp cantaloupe of course) to the front as well.

For the inside of the card, I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and I stamped the sentiment “I’m grateful for your kindness” from the bundle in Crisp Cantaloupe on the center top.  I also stamped added one of the small leaves onto the bottom right corner using Crisp Cantaloupe Ink and then masked that leaf with the Stampin’ Up! Masking Paper and stamped a second leaf using Barely Blush Ink on the bottom right.  I stamped those same leaves on my envelope.
