SEASON OF ELEGNCE MEETS NATURE’S SYMPHONY

Today’s card features the Nature’s Symphony Bundle and Season of Elegance Designer Series Paper supported by the Everyday Arches Dies.  I love all three of these products so it was easy to see how they would work together.  I saw a card much like this on Pintrest and immediately knew it would be great for my card class this month.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Mossy Meadow cardstock cut to 4 ¼ x 11” and scored at 5 ½”.  I cut a layer of Old Olive cardstock to 4 x 5 ½” and spritzed it lightly with the Stampin' Spritzer (this helps keep the cardstock from ripping) and then I embossed it using the Lovely Stripes 3D Embossing Folder and after it was embossed, I cut it down to 5 ¼”.  The reason for this is that the embossing folder causes some changes to the length of the piece (my guess is because of all the raised areas) so it was not working out right if I cut it to 4 ¼” before embossing.  I added this layer to my card base.

Then I cut a piece of the new Natural Hues 12 x 12” Specialty Paper to 2 x 5 ¼”, stamped it all over using image #6 from the bundle (see below) with Old Olive Ink.  Then I tore it right along the right side all the way down (I find tearing it towards me give me the best effect).  I attached this layer about 1/8” from the right side of the card front.  On top of this I added a 3 x 4 ¼” piece of the Season’s of Elegance Designer Series Paper (I chose the old olive colored one) to the center.

I die cut image #3 from the Nature’s Symphony Dies (see above) out of a piece of Old Olive cardstock and out of a piece of Gold Foil 12 x 12” Specialty Paper that were each about 3 1/2 x 4 1/4".  I attached the gold layer to the top of the old olive layer just off setting it a little bit and then added both to the front of my card.  For my sentiment I used the smallest of the Everyday Arches Dies to cut an arch from a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock and then using the Friendly Foliage Stamp Set I stamped the sentiment “Thinking of You” onto it using Old Olive Ink and added that to the front of my card using Dimensionals.

I finished off the front of the card with three of the Low-Profile Sparkle Dots which are currently in the Last Chance sales.  For the inside I cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and stamped image #7 from the stamp set (see above) with Old Olive Ink twice, once first generation and then again second generation (just means I didn’t reink the stamp before stamping the second time).  I did this same thing to the front of my envelope.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and more on my website at https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2206796 or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.  Be sure to follow me at:
