CHERRY COBBLER AND BRONZE GEARS & TEXTURES

Today’s card is a take from Monday’s card and it features the Gears & Textures Bundle along with the Cherry Cobbler cardstock and Earthen Tones Foil Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I used the same distressing as I did on Monday’s card but just wanted to show another version.

The card base is Cherry Cobbler cardstock cut to 11 x 4 ¼” and scored at 5 ½”.  Next, I cut a piece of the Earthen Tones Foil to 3 x 4 ¼” and using the dies from the bundle I embossed that piece.  The way I did that was to place down my plate #1 on my Stampin’ Up! Cut and Emboss Machine then add a clear plate (#3) my Silicon Mat, the foil, the die (cut side down) and another clear plate *#3) and run it through the machine.  This will leave the embossed image of the die but not cut it.  For this card I used dies #13, #4, #11, #10 & #12 (see image below) to do the embossing.  Once everything was embossed, I distressed it using a super fine filing block (I get them from the beauty supply store, they are used to do manicure and pedicures).  I just worked the sanding block over the embossed images until I received the results I was looking for.  When I was done, I added this layer to a piece of Basic Black cardstock that measured 3 ¼ x 4 ½” and added that to the center of the card front using Dimensionals.

I die cut images #13, #4, #12, #10 and #11 out of both the Earthen Tones Foil and Basic Black cardstock.  I added the black die cuts to the embossed piece.  I used my sanding block and distressed the foil piece.  I added the Earthen Tones foil piece over the black just off set a bit.  #13 I added with some Dimensionals for extra interest.  For my sentiment I used the Banners Sayings Bundle and stamped my sentiment "Thinking of You” onto a scrap of Cherry Cobbler cardstock with VersaMark Ink and embossed it with the Wow! Metallics Embossing Powder and then mounted that onto a scrap of Basic Black cardstock and added it to the front of my card.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and more on my website at https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2206796 or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.  Be sure to follow me at:
