BRUSHED WITH BEAUTY DSP AND PETAL PINK

Today’s card features the Brushed with Beauty Designer Series Paper, the Banner Sayings Bundle and the Nature’s Symphony Stamp Set.  I wanted a card that really highlighted the beauty of this designer series paper and made it the focal point.  Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Crumb Cake cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I cut a layer of Petal Pink cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and embossed it using the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder and added it to the front of my card base.  I then cut a piece of the Brushed with Beauty DSP to 3 x 4” and then cut that down to three 1 x 4” strips (keep them in order so the pattern flows nicely on the card).  I mounted those onto a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that measured 3 ¼ x 4 1/8” and then added that to the center of my card using Dimensionals.

To finish off the front of the card I stamped the sentiment “Sending my love” from the Banner Sayings Bundle onto a scrap of Petal Pink cardstock using Calypso Coral Ink and then punched it out with the coordinating banner punch from the bundle.  I also punched out a second banner from a scrap of Crumb Cake cardstock and added that behind the sentiment with the right side sticking out about a quarter of an inch.  I added that to the front of the card, (remember though you can use any sentiment stamp you have on hand and a die, a punch or simply cut a rectangle and stamp it).  I also added three of the Pearls of Beauty Embellishments to the front of the card.

For the inside of the card, I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to x 5 ¼” and stamped two of the little foliage stamps from the Nature’s Symphony Stamp Set (you could use any stamp you have in your stash for this) onto it with Calypso Coral Ink.  I stamped one first generation and one second generation (just means I didn’t re-ink the stamp between uses).  I did this same thing to the front of the envelope.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and more on my website at https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2206796 or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.  Be sure to follow me at:
