HOW ABOUT PINK AND LIGHT GREEN GEARS & TEXTURES

I have been creating a lot of cards with the new Gears & Textures Bundle and I really do love it.  I was looking for some new ideas on Pinterest and saw a card that used some more feminine colors.  Well I know a few women who are just as into this kind of thing as men are so I figured why not give it a whirl.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Basic White cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I stamped several of the gear images in the upper left corner and lower right corner with Crumb Cake Ink and then added a little Bubble Bath Ink with my Blending Brush in each corner.  I really liked the effect.  Next, I started working on some layers, first I cut a piece of Soft Seafoam cardstock to 3 ½ x 4 ½” and adhered that in the center of my card front.  Then I cut a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper to 3 x 4 ¼” and using my Water Painters I added Ink.  I simply used a little bit of my re-inkers and the Water Painters and added Bubble Bath and Melon Mambo Ink and left some areas lighter so I could stamp on them.  (Be sure to let this dry well before moving onto stamping).  I used image # 13 (see below) from the Gears & Textures Bundle and stamped it in Melon Mambo randomly and then I also stamped image #16 (see below) randomly with Crumb Cake Ink.  I die cut images 5, 6, 10, and 12 out of Soft Seafoam cardstock and image #5, 6 and 11 out of Bubble Bath cardstock.  I adhered all but the #11 in Bubble Bath directly to my watercolor panel, I added #11 with a Dimensional.  I mounted this onto a piece of Melon Mambo cardstock that measured 3 1/8 x 4 3/8” and added that to the front of the card using Dimensionals.

Next, I stamped the sentiment “Here’s to You! from the Banners Sayings Bundle onto a scrap of Soft Seafoam cardstock using Melon Mambo Ink and the punched it out using the coordinating punch from the bundle.  Before adding it to my card I added a piece of Pretty In Pink Ribbon (now retired) from my stash onto the back of it and then added the sentiment using Dimensionals.  To finish off the card I added three of the Strawberry Slush & Pretty In Pink Gems (now retired as well, but you could add any gems you have on hand).  For the inside and the envelope, I stamped image #11 (see about) once in Bubble Bath and once in Soft Seafoam Ink.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and more on my website at https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2206796 or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.  Be sure to follow me at:
