First I need to apologize for being away for so long. Long story but I had a major computer melt down and with the holidays and other issues it has taken some time to get a new computer (they apparently don't stock them in the stores these days) and to get help getting my files backed up and onto my new computer. But here I am back up and running finally.
Yesterday I held my Open House yesterday to preview the new January – June Mini Catalog and the January – February Sale-a-bration catalog. We did a walkthrough of the catalog along with checking out my new sample boards, everyone got a raffle prize and a sweet treat from me and we created the following make and take projects…
I will include the instructions for both projects below. Here were the sweet treats I made for each of the ladies in honor of the Sweet Talk Suite (say that three times fast) from the new mini catalog.
Oh, and did I tell you hubby created some amazing food
for us as well. A nice charcuterie
board, baby pizza’s, royal Thai crab cakes and dessert. He always delivers with the food.
So let me tell you all about how we made these
projects. First the “Sweet Little Box”
is from the new mini catalog (10 per package).
We each assembled our boxes and then added some of the Sweet Talk designer
series paper around them. This piece
was3 x 7 ¼” and was scored on the 7 ¼” side at 1 ¾, 2 ½, 5 and 5 5/8” and it
was simply wrapped around the box and secured it in the back with some Tear
& Tape. We then die cut the tag and
the hearts from some Blushing Bride and Real Red cardstock and stamped the
sentiment with Real Red Ink (the dies and stamps for both projects are from the
new Sweet Conversations Bundle). We wrapped
our box with White Twine and added our cute little tag. To make it really pop we added three of the
Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels each right in the center of one of the hearts. Then we filled the boxes up with those cute
little candy conversation hearts (the boxes are food safe). These made some adorable little treat
boxes.
Now for our card.
The card base is Real Red cardstock that is cut 5 ½ x 8 ½”, scored at ¼”. We then took a piece of Highland Heather
cardstock that measured 4 x 5 ¼” and embossed it using the new Gingham
Embossing Folder. We added a strip of
the Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper that has Highland Heather stripes that
measured 1 x 5” on it to the top of this layer and wrapped a piece of the Real
Red 3/8” Ribbon around the layer before we attached that to our card base.
Next, we used the Layering Circles Dies and die cut
two circles, one from the Designer Series Paper and one from Real Red Cardstock
and layered them onto our card using Dimensionals. We die cut three little red hearts, one
medium red heart and one large red heart (all from the dies in the bundle) out
of Real Red Cardstock. We also die cut
one medium and one large heart out of Highland Heather cardstock. We embossed the two medium hearts with the gingham
folder and added the red one right onto our circle of DSP and then added the
Highland Heather one onto of that using a Dimensional. The three little red hearts were added to the
card along with three of the Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels. This completed the outside of the card.
Now for the inside…
We stamped the sentiment (also from the bundle) onto
the top center of a piece of Basic White cardstock that measured 5 ¼ x 4” in
Real Red ink. We added the two large
hearts that we had die cut to the bottom left inside of the card and there you
have it.
I hope you enjoy these projects as much as the ladies
who attended my open house did. As
always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my

Happy Crafting!!!
