GEARED UP FOR HIS BIRTHDAY (2-18-26)

Today’s card features the new Gears & Textures Bundle.  I love this set because it is not just masculine in nature, I see some fun in my future with this bundle.  I peared it up with the new Banner Sayings Bundle, such great sentiments and the coordinating punch is great.  I looked at all kinds of great samples of this bundle on Pinterest and took what I liked from several and this is what I came up with…

The card base is Basic Black cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I then cut a piece of Basic Beige cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and stamped it using the Gears & Textures Bundle.  I stamped all over it using image #15 (see below) in Coastal Cabana Ink all over, then I added image #16 in Pecan Pie Ink all over it and then finally I stamped image #4 all over it using Smoky Slate Ink.  To give this layer a little more dimension and interest I added a little Crumb Cake Ink all over it using a Blending Brush.  Once that was done I cut the following pieces:

Using Basic White cardstock I cut the following images (see below) 2 each #6, 2 each #5, 1 each #13 and #11.  Out of Textured Metallic (I used the copper colored one) 1 each #12, #10  and #11.  Out of Silver Foil I cut 1 each #10 and #11.  Out of Basic Black cardstock I cut out 1 each #10 and #12.  Once everything was cut out, I took the #5 and #6 pieces cut from Basic White cardstock and used Sponge Daubers I added Smoky Slate and Pecan Pie ink to give them a weathered look.  Then I took pieces #11 and #13 I had cut from Basic White cardstock and again using Sponge Daubers I added Smoky Slate and Coastal Cabana Ink, once that was done I simply stuck part of each of the die into VersaMark Ink and used the copper color of the Metallics Wow! Embossing Powder to emboss them.

With all my pieces prepared I started by taking my 2 each #5 and #6 pieces I had daubed ink onto and I adhered them directly to my layer I then took my largest gear and decided where on the card front, I wanted it and added it with Dimensionals.  As for the rest of the pieces, it is totally up to you which ones you want to adhered directly to the card and which ones you prefer to pop up with a Dimensional.  Just have fun with it.  Once I had everything where I wanted I took a scrap of Basic Black cardstock and stamped it with the sentiment “Happy Birthday” from the Banner Sayings Bundle using VersaMark Ink and embossed it with that same embossing powder I used on the gears.  I then used the coordinating punch from the bundle and punched it out and added it to the front of the card with Dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock cut to 4 x 5 ¼” and stamped image #15 in the bottom right corner in Coastal Cabana and image #16 in Pecan Pie.  I did the same stamping on the envelope.
