Trees and Plaid

I love the way this card turned out.  The gold embossing on the card as well as the gold lines in the paper and the gold in the ribbon make it all work so well together don't you think?

I need to apologize for the photo, even with a photo booth when a card has this much foil paper on it the shine is super bright.  Be sure that in person it is very pretty and the gold is just the right touch.  So here is how it was made...

The card base was created using Cherry Cobbler card stock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”

Layer is Shaded Spruce cut to 4 x 5 ¼”

Wrapped in Plaid DSP is cut 2 x 5” and Gold Foil cut to 2 x 5” and both mounted onto piece of Shaded Spruce layer.  Wrap a piece of the Shaded Spruce/Gold 3/8” Stripped Ribbon around the layer where the DSP and Gold Foil meet.

Stamp “Merry Christmas” sentiment and the tree from the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set onto Shaded Spruce card

stock using Versamark Ink and heat emboss with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder using the Heat Tool.

Repeat stamping the tree using the Versamark and heat embossing in Gold on a piece of Whisper White and a piece of Cherry Cobbler.

Punch sentiment out using the Timeless Label Punch and punch the trees out sing the Pine Tree Punch.

Using the 2nd largest stitched circle from the Stitched Shapes dies cut a piece of the Gold Foil (Note:  This die set is great it includes circles, ovals and squares that layer, I use this one a lot) .

Adhere the circle to the left side of the card and the sentiment (which is popped up with dimensionals) onto the right side.

Adhere the Whisper White and Shaded Spruce trees onto the circle and then add the Cherry Cobbler (also popping it up with dimensionals.

The finishing touch is to stamp the sentiment “Hoping that your busy year comes together in Christmas Cheer” onto a piece of Whisper White card stock that measures 4 x 5 ¼” using the Shaded Spruce ink for the inside sentiment.  And here is what that looks like.
