Another Enjoy The Moment Card

I wanted to use the Enjoy the Moment stamp set along with my new Tailor Made Tags dies because I just knew they would work great together.      

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Old Olive cardstock that is cut 5 ½ x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”.  I stamped one of the images from the Enjoy The Moment stamp set all over the card base with Mossy Meadow ink.  I then attached a piece of the Old Olive colored Regals 6 x 6” Designer Series Paper that measures 2 x 5 ½” and centered it onto a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock that measures 2 ½ x 5 ½”.  I centered this layer onto the card base. 

I then die cut two tags, one from Crumb Cake cardstock and one from Early Espresso cardstock.  I also cut the little top of the tag out of a scrap of Early Espresso cardstock and adhered it to the Crumb Cake tag (the tags require pieces of cardstock that measure about 2 ¼ x 4”).  I stamped one of the images from the set onto the Crumb Cake tag using second generation stamping and Crumb Cake ink (this just means I stamped off once on scrap paper before stamping the tag, this gives me a fainter image so I can stamp my sentiment over the top).  I then stamped my sentiment over the top of the image (also from this stamp set) using Early Espresso ink.  I adhered the two tags together pulled a little apart from one another and added some Faux Suede Early Espresso Ribbon.  I then attached these to the front of the card using Dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I cut a piece of Very Vanilla to 4 x 5 ¼” and stamped the same image I used on the card base again in Mossy Meadow ink.  Again, a simple easy and fast card to create.  I am loving this stamp set.

More Fun With Enjoy The Moment

I am really enjoying this Enjoy the Moment stamp set from the Annual Catalog.  It is very versatile and works well for simple cards especially masculine cards which can sometimes be a bit of a challenge for card makers.    

Here is today’s share using the set…

The card base is Mint Macaron cardstock that is cut 5 ½ x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”.  I sat this aside and worked on my next two layers.  I cut a piece of Just Jade cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and a piece of Shaded Spruce to 5 1/8 x 3 7/8”.  I embossed the Shaded Spruce layer with the Tasteful Textures 3D Embossing Folder (this gives a nice subtle look).  I then adhered those two pieces together and wrapped a piece of Mint Macaron Ribbon around them (this is a retired ribbon but any ribbon or strip of cardstock would work well).  I then adhered that layer to the card base.

Next I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 ½ x 2” and stamped three of the images from the Enjoy the Moment stamp set onto it.  The first was stamped using Just Jade ink, the second was stamped using Mint Macaron ink and the third was stamped using Shaded Spruce ink.  I attached this piece to a piece of Mint Macaron cardstock that measures 4 ¾ x 2 ¼”.  I attached this to the card base as well.  For my final touch on the front of the card I stamped the sentiment “Happy Birthday” onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock using Just Jade ink and then I die cut it using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  To attach this to the ribbon I found that Tear & Tape worked best as it is a very strong adhesive.

For the inside of the card, I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock and stamped another of the images from the set on the bottom right corner using Mint Macaron ink.  The final result is another really nice card that really is fast and easy to create.

A Cherry Cobbler Hello

I have been having some fun with the Enjoy the Moment stamp set.  I love how well the Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso colors work together.  Believe it or not the Designer Series Paper use on this card is actually from the Tidings of Christmas paper pack.  It is nice to see that the pack does not have to be used for Christmas cards only

Here is what it looks like…

This is a very simple basic card that fast and easy to create.  The card base is Cherry Cobbler cardstock that is cut 5 ½ x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”.  I cut the designer series paper to 1 ½ x 5 ½” and added it to a piece of Early Espresso cardstock that measures 2 x 5 ½”.  I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 1 ½ x 4” and I stamped the image from the Enjoy The Moment stamp set on it with Cherry Cobbler ink.  I added this to a piece of Early Espresso cardstock that measured 1 ¾ x 4 ¼”.  For the sentiment I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 1 ¼ x 1 ¾” and stamped the sentiment “hello” from the Biggest Wish stamp set again in Cherry Cobbler ink.  I added it to a piece of Early Espresso that measured 1 ½ x 2”. 

I added the pieces as shown in the photo, I did use Dimensionals to pop up the sentiment piece.  For the inside of the card, I just added a piece of Basic White cardstock that measured 4 x 5 ¼” that I had stamped another of the images from the Enjoy the Moment stamp set, the seed pod on the top right of the stamp set (again in cherry cobbler ink).

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year Version 2

I shared a card with you yesterday and I promised I would share a more version as well.  So here it is…

The card base is Evening Evergreen cardstock that is cut 5 ½ x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”.  Now this part is the same as yesterday’s card.  I cut two pieces of coordinating Designer Series Paper from the Tidings of Christmas 6 x 6” papers.  I like to make my 6 x 6” papers goes as far as they can so you will see I did a little maneuvering with these to make more cards.  First I selected the DSP I wanted for the top of my card and I cut off a piece that is 2 x 6” (this will be saved for another card) then I took the remaining 4 x 6” piece and cut it in half to make 2 pieces that are 3 x 4” which is the top of my card (so I have pieces to make two cards).  For the bottom of the card, I selected another piece of DSP that I thought went well with my first selection and I again cut off a 2 x 6” piece and this too got set aside for another card.  With my remaining 4 x 6” piece I cut three pieces that were 2 x 4” this became my bottom (with two left for future cards).  Now if I loved both sides of the paper and they went well together I could have simply taken that 2 x 6” piece and made it a 2 x 4” and made it the bottom.  Ok, now that I have rambled about how to make the most of your paper lets go forward.

So, I attached my two pieces of DSP leaving a ¼” reveal on the top of the card base, the bottom of the card base and on both sides of the card base.  This leaves a little gap between the two DSP pieces in the center so to solve that I cut a piece of Soft Succulent cardstock that measured ½ x 4” and laid it over the gap then I thought it needed more so I added a piece of Evening Evergreen over that that measured ¼ x 4”. 

Next, I stamped my sentiment which is from the Tidings & Trimmings Bundle onto a piece of Basic White cardstock this time I used Evening Evergreen ink and then I die cut it using one of the Stitched So Sweetly dies.  This I attached to the top right of the card using Dimensionals.  I used the dies from the bundle to cut my stars, they were cut out of Evening Evergreen, Night of Navy, Soft Succulent, and Sahara Sand cardstock.  I layered them on one another and then attached them to the card using Dimensionals.  This is pretty much where I stopped on yesterday’s card but to add a little more to this one, I punched out some sprigs using the Sprig Punch, I punched two from Gold Foil, one from Soft Succulent and one from Evening Evergreen cardstock and I tucked them up under the starts.  What do you thing?  Doesn’t it add a little extra to the card?

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year Version 1

Now that fall has officially arrived, I can’t help but start thinking about Christmas.  Christmas is most certainly my favorite holiday.  When I was a child, I would spend hours I have browsing through the Sears Christmas Wishbook just dreaming of what Santa might bring me.  I remember that my mother always made the whole time leading up to the actual day a celebration.  From making candies and cookies (with a little help, well maybe hinderance from us kids) to the bowls of nuts that would suddenly appear and of course the best part was when presents began to appear under the tree.  With all she had to do though she would always sit down and write long letters to each family member who lived way to add to their Christmas cards (that was something important she taught me, always take the time).  So now that I am grown and my children are as well it has become my thing to not just send a letter but to create a card that I feel represents the recipient.  This is why I make so many different cards this time of the year and you know I love it.      

So I created this card in two different versions, one a little simpler and one with a little more ornate (because of course there are both kinds of people out there) today I will be sharing the simpler one…
