Hues of Happiness Birthday

Today’s card was created using the Happiness Abounds Bundle and Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper from the Annual Catalog.  One of the things I really love about this suite of products is that the dies from the bundle cut some of the flowers and leaves from the Designer Series Paper.  This makes for fast and easy cards as it limits the amount of stamping one needs to do as well as the number of products you require to complete it.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Gorgeous Grape cut to 5 ½ x 8 1/2” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I cut a poiece of Fresh Freesia cardstock to 2 ½ x 5 ¼” and then die cut it with the cute die that does this wonderful background were some things are cut all the way out, others are partially cut and still others are just stitching.  I added this piece to the right side of the card and then added a piece of the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper that measures 2 x 5 ¼” to the left side. 

For my focal point I die cut three different colored flowers from the Designer Series Paper using the dies from the bundle as well as two sets of leave (there is a die for this as well).  I popped the flowers up on the center of the card using Dimensionals and just tucked the leaves up under them.  Next, I cut a piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock to ½ x 3 ½” and stamped the sentiment “happy birthday” also from the bundle onto it using Gorgeous Grape ink.  I cut the right end at an angle and added a single Pastel Pearl to the left end and then placed it right across the center of my flowers.  As you can see this is a very quick and simple card.
