A Box of Cards

Today’s I am showcasing the Kraft Note Cards & Envelopes.  This set includes 20 kraft note cards which are 3 ½ x 5” (the smallest that can be mailed through the US Postal Service) and 20 kraft envelopes.  But the best part is that it also includes an awesome coordinating kraft box.  So I decided to make a set of cards and decorate the box so that I can use them as a gift.  II think these sets will be awesome for my Mother In Law to give to her friends for the holidays as we all know everyone can use cards.  I saw my upline create a whole set of these cards using 20 different stamps and/or designer series paper, I didn’t want to do all that so I decided I would limit mine to a few sets.  With that said I started to create my set first by using the Apple Harvest Bundle (just a reminder the dies for this set will no longer be available as of October 1st so don’t miss out), I love these apple stamps and they make perfect cards.

Here is what I came up with for the top of the box…

The box is pretty simple to assemble but if you have any questions there are tons of videos on YouTube showing it being assembled.  It is a very sturdy box which is great.  I started by cutting a piece of Basic Black cardstock to 3 ½ x 5”.  I added on a piece of the Parakeet Party and Sweet Sorbet designer series paper from the 2022 – 2024 6 x 6” Designer Series Paper that measured 3 ¼ x 2 3/8”, I added the Parakeet Party on top and the Sweet Sorbet on the bottom.  Then I wrapped a piece of the Gingham Ribbon around the piece where the two colors meet, that just gives it and nice tidy look, and I also added a little square knot bow for additional interest.  I mounted that right onto the center of the box top.  I stamped my image of the apples from the bundle onto a piece of Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored it using just the Soft Suede, Parakeet Party and Sweet Sorbet Stampin’ Blends.  I then die cut it using the coordinating dies (remember these dies are only available through the end of September).  I then popped it onto the top of the box using Dimensionals.  My final addition was three of the Matte Black Dots on the bottom left corner.  I love how it turned out.  Now how about a couple cards (there will be more over the coming days I promise but I wanted to start with two today that also use the Apple Harvest stamp set.

CARD #1

The card base is one of the kraft note cards from the set.  I cut a piece of Basic Black cardstock to 1 ¾ x 3 ½” and to that I added a piece of the Sweet Sorbet DSP from the 2022 -2024 6 x 6” In Color Designer Series Paper that was cut to 1 ½ x 3 ½”.  I wrapped a piece of the Sweet Sorbet 2022 – 2024 In Color Baker’s Twine around it twice and tied a knot.  I added this directly to the front of the notecard.  Next, I stamped my apple image onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored it in using Granny Apple Green, Sweet Sorbet, So Saffron and Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends.  I then die cut it using the coordinating die from the bundle.  I popped it up on my card using Dimensionals.  I wanted a coordinating envelope so I cut a piece of the Sweet Sorbet DSP from the 2022 -2024 In Color Designer Series Paper to 2 14 x 5 ½” and adhered it to the envelope flap.  I just cut away the excess and there you have it a coordinating Envelope.  Super simple and easy and it is really cute as well.

CARD #2

This second card is a little different as I decided to make my apples green rather than red.  I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 3 ¼ x 4 ¾” and I die cut the right side using the scalloped die from the Scalloped Contours Dies.  Then I stamped my image onto it using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I colored in my apples using the Soft Seafoam and So Saffron Stampin’ Blend Markers to get those light green apples I wanted.  Then I colored my leaves using the Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends and the branch was colored using the Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends.  Once it was all colored in, I added a piece of the Parakeet Party Metallic Woven Ribbon and tied it in a bow.  I added a strip of the Parakeet Party DSP from the 2022 – 2024 6 x 6” In Color Designer Series Paper that measured 1 x 4 ¾” directly to the right side of my Kraft Notecard.  I added Dimensionals to the back of my white piece and added it to the card.  I did the same thing to coordinate my envelope as I did in card 1 I just used the Parakeet Party Designer Series Paper instead.

I hope you enjoyed this project and will stay tuned for additional cards over the coming days.  I am certainly enjoying creating with this cute little box set.  As always you can find the supplies to create this project and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.
