Today’s technique features clear embossed leaves from the Autumn Leaves Bundle. I wanted to show how adding some ink and clear embossing powder can give these leaves a shinny and realistic finish. They turned out great and are the perfect addition to a card base that was created using last weeks technique of inking an embossing folder. Here is what the card looks like when finished.
The card base is Early Espresso cardstock
cut to 4 ¼ x 11” and scored at 5 ½”.
The layer is a piece of Cajun Craze
cardstock cut to 4 x 5 1/4” that was placed in the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing
Folder that was inked with Pecan Pie Ink.
Four of the leaves from the Autumn Leaves
Bundle were die cut out of: Cherry Cobbler, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and
Pretty Peacock cardstock. They were
inked as shown in the video and then pressed down in VersaMark ink and heat
embossed using the Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder.
The sentiment is a stamp from the Autumn Leaves Bundle and it says “Autumn teaches us that change can be Beautiful” it was stamped onto a piece of Crushed Curry Cardstock using Early Espresso Ink and then die cut using one of the sentiment dies from the bundle.
The ribbon used is from the Copper &
Natural Ribbon Combo Pack and I show how to distress it on the video.
The final embellishment is the addition of
three of the Rustic Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots.
I hope you enjoy this technique it really
was a lot of fun to do and I am very happy with the card. As always you can find the supplies to create
