INTRODUCING CRISP CANTALOUPE

Today’s card features one of the new In Colors for 2026 – 2028, Crisp Cantaloupe.  Does it look familiar?  If you have been around Stampin’ Up! for years like me then you will recognize it as a color that we use to have and that has been re-introduced.  Yes, sometimes colors come back and it is often a great surprise.  I actually still had my Crisp Cantaloupe ink pad, re-inker and even a few sheets of the paper.  I decided to showcase it along with a Specialty Designer Series Paper that is also in the In Colors called Bloom Boutique and make a simple card.  Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I added a layer of the Bloom Boutique 12 x 12” Specialty Designer Series Paper that measured 4 x 5 ¼”.  To the center of that I added two pieces of foliage, one die cut from Gold Foil (to accentuate the gold in the DSP) and one die cut from another new In Color called Peaceful Pine.  This die is from the Nature’s Symphony Dies (I have been using these dies a lot lately because they are pretty versatile).

I cut the layer for my sentiment out of Basic White cardstock using the second smallest of this shape from the Nested Essentials Dies.  I stamped it with my sentiment from the Happy Thoughts Stamp Set which is from a retired set (I used Crisp Cantaloupe Ink but Peaceful Pine would look nice as well).  Remember I always say use the sentiment that you like and works for the card you want to send.  We all have sets we love and for many of us we have some that we like to use all the time.  The same can be said for the die I used, it could be a circle, a square, anything you have that works with the sentiment you chose.  Don’t be afraid to make changes and make it yours.  I added that sentiment using Dimensionals.

To finish off the card I added three of the 2025 – 2025 Flat Pearls to the front.  I also cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and added a little strip of the same DSP I used on the front, ½ x 4” to the bottom of it to tie everything together.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and more on my website at https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2206796 or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.  Be sure to follow me at:
