RELAX AND ENJOY

Today’s card features the new Relaxing Waterside Bundle and Waterside Retreat Designer Series Paper.  I was a little unsure if I wanted this bundle but a customer ordered it and then when it came in I was intrigued so I ordered it for myself and I am sure glad I did.  I have been having a ton of fun playing around with it.  One sheet of the DSP has cut aparts and I thought I would start there, here is what I came up with…

The card base is Night of Navy cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I trimmed the cut apart down to 4 x 5 ¼” and added it to the card base.  Then I put my chair together (it took me a bit to figure it out but I love how it turned out; I will put a photo below with labels for the pieces to make it easier to understand how it goes together).  I cut die #2 out of Night of Navy and then using Hydrangea Hue cardstock I cut a second one (this is so you can get that little board for the front, it makes sense to cut both colors and then just change out the colors so you end up with two chairs).  I cut the back of the chair die #4 and the arms of the chair die #5 out of Hydrangea Hue cardstock.  The little tab at the bottom of the back just slides down in the chair and the single board that is a different color just pops out from between the legs.  The arms just get placed on top of the chair arms and butted up against the back of the chair.

I also die cut the cattails, I cut both die #10 and #11 out of scraps of Mossy Meadow cardstock and again out of Pecan Pie scraps.  I cut the top of the Pecan Pie cattails off and glued them onto the Mossy Meadow ones.  With that all done I simply added my chair and cattails to the card front.  I love that the beautiful paper works so well for this card.

Finally, I stamped the sentiment “Relax” and the seagull from the set onto the front using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  For the inside I simply cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and stamped the larger cattail in Crumb Cake Ink and the smaller one right over top of it in Old Olive Ink.  This was a really quick and simple card to create.  I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and more on my website at https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2206796 or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.  Be sure to follow me at:
