ARROW CENTER FLAP FUN FOLD

Today’s card features the Boutique Blossoms Bundle and the Bloom Boutique Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I saw a this card on Facebook that had been made by Tami White and she was kind enough to offer the instructions to anyone who commented.  I fell in love so I decided to use the same paper but in two different ways to make two different cards and I am loving them.  Here is what I came up with…

The card base for both cards is Hydrangea Hue cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  Mark the center of the top at 2 ¾” and then cut from that mark to the score line on both sides creating your arrow.  Then I cut two Gold Foil mats to 4 x 5 ¼” and marked them at 2 5/8” on the long side and cut them from the mark to the top corner.  Next, I cut two coordinating pieces of the DSP to 5 x 3 7/8” and marked the 5” side at 2 ½” and again cut them from the mark to the top corner.

I used one side of the DSP for the large triangle and then the other DSP for the smaller ones.  Big note here, before you start adhering the gold foil pieces die cut your flowers from them.  If you cut from the center you will not see that it is cut because you are adding DSP on top of them.  I did use a piece of bond paper between the foil and the top cutting plate to prevent them from getting scratched by the plate.  For the Hydrangea Hue flowers I just die cut them from the triangle scraps I cut off the card base.  I grabbed scraps of Peaceful Pine cardstock and die cut my greenery pieces.

Assemble the layers (you may have to adjust a little I had to trim just a smidge off some of the gold pieces) and add to the card.  After the layers were all adhered, I added my flowers and greenery.  I adhered all of the pieces except the Hydrangea Hue rose directly to the arrow center and I popped that Hydrangea Hue Rose up right in the center with Dimensionals.

For the insides I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and mark on the 5” side at 2 5/8” and cut from the mark to the top corner.  I stamped the cute little rose buds from the set onto the inside using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored them with Stampin’ Blends.  I stamped and colored that same little rose bud stamp on the envelope.

Again, a big thank you to Tami White for being so generous with the instructions.  I really appreciate when people are so great about sharing ideas.
