A SIMPLE BLUE THANK YOU

Today’s card is all about simple and fast.  It features the Scalloped Blooms Bundle and the Bloom Boutique Specialty Designer Series Paper.  We all need thank you cards and it is nice to have a simple card layout to create them with.  This layout was inspired by one I watched Mary Knabe create on YouTube.  Here it is…

The card base is Basic White cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  The next layer is Hydrangea Hue and is cut to 4 x 5 ¼” and adhered directly to the base.  The Designer Series Paper is cut to 1 5/8 x 2 ¼” (cut 4).  NOTE:  I purchased a repositionable tape runner from Staples that is great for temporarily adhering the blocks until you can get everything lined up and then adhere them permanently.  It saved me a lot of frustration as I can get really fussy about spacing, LOL.   

I used the third from smallest scalloped circle from the bundle and cut it from Hydrangea Hue cardstock.  I adhered this directly to the center of the card.  Then I stamped my sentiment “Thank You” from the bundle onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock using Hydrangea Hue Ink and punched it out using the 1 ¾” Circle Punch.  Before adhering it to the card I created a bow under it using the Hydrangea Hue Bordered Ribbon and adhered that to the back of the sentiment circle.  With that done I popped the sentiment up on the scalloped circle using Dimensionals.  Finally, I added three of the Adhesive-Backed Metallic Gems.
