Happy Easter – Arrange a Wreath

As I said previously, I have been working on a set of cards that feature the Arrange a Wreath bundle.  I wanted to create cards that would show just how versatile this set is and some of the many ways it can be used.  I will be posting a different card (for a different event) over the next several days that shows just that.  Here is what the bundle looks like.

And here is today’s card – An Easter Card.

The card base is Bermuda Bay cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  The second layer is Bumble Bee cardstock cut to 4 x 5 ¼”, I ran this layer through the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder and then popped it layer up using Dimensionals.

To create my wreath for this card, I started by cutting out two of the wreaths dies from the Arrange a Wreath Bundle from Granny Apple Green cardstock.  I then cut a circle out of Whisper White using the 3rd largest of the circles from the Layering Circles dies.  I stamped my sentiment “Happy Easter” from the bundle onto the center of the circle using Magenta Madness ink.  Once I had my stamping completed, I used that circle to build my wreath up on (liquid glue works best for this).  I layered the two die cut wreaths on it and then I stamped eight Easter eggs using the stamp from the set, they were stamped in Bumble Bee, Magenta Madness, Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral and Highland Heather ink.  I then die cut them using the coordinating dies from the bundle.  To add height and interest to my card I also cut eight eggs from coordinating cardstock to use as bases for my eggs to sit on (that would be, Bumble Bee, Magenta Madness, Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral and Highland Heather cardstock).  I attached my cardstock eggs to my wreath and then added my stamped eggs using Mini Dimensionals.  Once that was all done, I adhered this to the center of my card.

I hope you enjoy this card.  Keep watching for more cards using this great bundle in upcoming posts.  I will list the supplies I used below and you can find the supplies for this card and many more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog or easier yet just click the icon for the product below and it will take you right to my website.

Happy Valentine’s Day – Arrange a Wreath

I have been working on a set of cards that feature the Arrange a Wreath bundle.  I wanted to create cards that would show just how versatile this set is and some of the many ways it can be used.  I will be posting a different card (for a different event) over the next several days that shows just that.  Here is what the bundle looks like.

And here is the first card I made using it, it is perfect for Valentine’s Day.

The card base is Real Red cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  The second layer is Blushing Bride cardstock cut to 4 x 5 ¼”, I did pop this one up off the first layer using dimensionals.  For the third layer I cut Whisper White cardstock cut to 3 ¾ x 5” (I did not attach this layer to the card base until I had my whole wreath built up on it)

To create my wreath, I started by first stamping the wreath from the Arrange a Wreath bundle using Garden Green ink.  I then stamped the sentiment “Happy Heart Day” from the bundle right in the middle of the wreath using Real Red ink.  I then die cut two of the wreaths out of Soft Seafoam and Pear Pizzazz cardstock and layered them over the stamped wreath (liquid glue works best for this).  To decorate my wreath, I started by cutting out the bow from Real Red cardstock and I added a Mini Dimensional between the two layers of the bow to make it more dimensional.  I then stamped two hearts from the stamp set onto Whisper White cardstock with Real Red and Blushing Bride ink and used the coordinating die from the bundle to cut them out.  I also cut out three each of the hearts from Real Red and Blushing Bride cardstock and four each of the hearts from Gold Foil.  I just arranged my hearts around my wreath (I found that overlaying them made for a really nice look).

More fun with the Tasteful Touches bundle

Today I wanted to create a card using two of the new 2020 – 2022 In Colors.  I chose to use the new Bumble Bee and Misty Moonlight and here is what I came up with…

The card base is Misty Moonlight cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.
For my first layer I chose to use Bumble Bee cardstock that measured 4 x 5 ¼” that I had embossed using the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder.  I then added a strip of the new 2020 – 2022 In Color Designer Series Paper (I liked the way the polka dots worked on the Misty Moonlight) that measured 2 x 5 ¼”.  Once I had these two layers together, I wrapped a piece of the new Misty Moonlight ¼” ribbon around the layer and tied a square knot.  Once this was all layered, I added it to the card base.

I then stamped three of the flowers onto Shimmery White cardstock using Bumble Bee ink, while that was still a little wet, I used my Water Painters to pull a little of the Bumble Bee color into my flower.  I then fussy cut these.  I added two directly onto the card and I popped the third up with Dimensionals.  I added two pieces of gold foliage that is from the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper.

For the final element I stamped my sentiment which is from the Timeless Tulip stamp set onto a piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock using Versamark ink and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder that I set with my Heat Tool.  I used one of the dies from the bundle to cut it out and then I popped it up on my card using Mini Dimensionals.

I hope you enjoy this card.  I will list the supplies I used below and you can find the supplies for this card and many more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog or easier yet just click the icon for the product below and it will take you right to my website.
