To start this card cut the card base from night of
navy cardstock at 4 ¼” x 9 ¾” (scored at 4 ¼”).
Then begin to build the top layer by adding a 4 x 4” piece of whisper
white cardstock, and a piece of 3 ¾ x 3 ¾” Come Sail Away DSP. For the inside panel cut a piece of balmy
blue cardstock 5 ¼ x 4” and a piece of whisper white 5 x 3 ¾”. For the belly band cut a piece of night of
navy cardstock 10 ½ x 1 ½” (scored at 5 ¼) and a piece of Come Sail Away DSP 1
¼ x 5”.
Stamp the image from the stamp set A Good Man onto a
piece of whisper white cardstock and then die cut using the Stitched Shapes
Dies. This image was colored using the
stampin’ blends, these things make anyone look like a pro. Cut an oval from night of navy cardstock
using the Layering Ovals Dies. Sentiments
can be stamped under both the belly band and on the inside of the card (these
can be anything you choose to use). Here
is what I did…
To assembly card, center the belly band on the inside
panel and glue to the back of the panel.
Adhere that panel to the inside of the night of navy card base. Attach top panel onto the top of the card
base and attach the ovals using dimensionals (be sure to only add them where
the ovals will attach to the belly band.
And there you have it. A fun,
simple, fun fold card that can be adapted to many of the Stampin’ Up stamp
sets.
