BRUSHED WITH BEAUTY SECOND ROUND

Today I am going to share 10 more cards I created from the beautiful Brushed With Beauty Designer Series Paper and I did it without buying a whole suite collection.  When Stampin’ Up! released this Brushed With Beauty DSP I decided I was not going to buy the whole suite collection but use what I have on hand.  So I have been doing just that, today I grabbed one piece of 12 x 12” DSP and set out to make as many cards as I could, I used a double one sheet wonder cutting guide I changed up just a little from Mary Knabe to make them.  I ended up with 10 cards and I love them all.  I will be sharing all of them throughout this week.  Here is what I came up with…

CARDS 1 & 2

Card Base: Very Vanilla cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.

Layers: Early Espresso 3 ¾ x 5”.

DSP:  3 ½ x 4 ¾” and side #2 cut to 1 ¼ x 3 ½”

Sentiment:  Stamped from the Banner Sayings Bundle, it was stamped on a scrap of Very Vanilla using Mossy Meadow Ink and punched out using the coordinating punch from the bundle.  I used and a scrap of Early Espresso cardstock to punched a second one to put under the sentiment (I cut this in half and attached it under the sentiment allowing just a little to show on each side).  I added these to the cards using Dimensionals.

Embellishments: I used some embellishments from my stash (as I keep saying these cards are get to use up those things you have on hand).

Inside:  I stamped a rose image from the Lifetime of Love Stamp Set (this is on Last Chance and available for a really great price).  I stamped the rose in the inside corner using Early Espresso Ink and then just used the light Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blend Marker to color the leaves.

CARDS 3 & 4

Card Base: Very Vanilla cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.

Layers: Early Espresso 2 ¾ X 5 1/2”.

DSP:  2 ½ x 5 ½”.

Sentiment:  Stamped from the Banner Sayings Bundle, it was stamped on a scrap of Very Vanilla using Mossy Meadow Ink and punched out using the coordinating punch from the bundle.  I used and a scrap of Mossy Meadow cardstock to punched a second one to put under the sentiment (I cut this in half and attached it under the sentiment allowing just a little to show on each side).  I added these to the cards using Dimensionals.

Embellishments: I used some embellishments from my stash (these are retired but as I keep saying these cards are get to use up those things you have on hand).

CARDS 5 & 6

Card Base: Very Vanilla cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  Note:  I did turn these cards to the landscape orientation just for something different.

Layers: Early Espresso 4 x 5 ¼”.

DSP:  1 ¾ x 5 ½” and two pieces (side #2 of the DSP) that measure ¼ x 1 ¾ and ½ x 1 ¾”, I added these to the top of side 1 of the DSP.

Sentiment:  Stamped from the Simply Said Stamp Set (this one is retired but as I keep saying use what you have and what you love.  We all have favorite sentiment stamps and most of us hold on to them forever, LOL).  The sentiments were stamped on Very Vanilla using Mossy Meadow Ink and punched out using the coordinating punch from the bundle.  I used and a scrap of Mossy Meadow cardstock and then die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies and the Nested Essentials Dies.  I die cut the next largest of each of the dies out of Mossy Meadow cardstock and attached the sentiment to them.  I added these to the card using Dimensionals.

Embellishments: I used some of the Pearls of Beauty Embellishments (these coordinate beautifully with this paper).

CARDS 7 through 10

Card Base: Crumb Cake cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼” (x 2) and for something interesting I made the other 2 using Crumb Cake cardstock cut to 4 ¼ x 11” and scored at 5 ½”.

Layers: Mossy Meadow 3 ¼ x 4 ½”.

DSP:  3 x 4 ¼”.

Sentiment:  Stamped from the Go To Greetings Stamp Set (yes, this one is retired but it is my all-time favorite sentiment set and I don’t see getting rid of it anytime soon.  I not only love the sentiments I think the font is great.  As I always say use what you have and what you love.  We all have favorite sentiment stamps and most of us hold on to them forever, LOL).  The sentiments were stamped on Very Vanilla using Mossy Meadow Ink and just cut out in the shape of a rectangle with another rectangle just ¼” larger in Mossy Meadow layered under them.  They are attached using Dimensionals.

Embellishments: I used some of the Mossy Meadow and Gold Ribbon to make bows to attach to the front of each card.

Inside:  I cut four pieces of Very Vanilla cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” for the insides and stamped a rose image from the Lifetime of Love Stamp Set (this is on Last Chance and available for a really great price).  I stamped the rose in the inside corner using Early Espresso Ink and then just used the light Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blend Marker to color the leaves.

As you can see these cards are super cute, were easy to make and did a great job of using the Designer Series Paper as the inspiration.  I hope you enjoy these cards as much as I enjoyed making them.  As always you can find the supplies to create these cards and more on my website at https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2206796 or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.  Be sure to follow me at:
