GRATEFUL FOR YOU

Today’s card features the True Blue Designer Series Paper.  This paper is no longer available as it was a Product of the Month Product and has sold out.  I wanted to explain a little about the Product of the Month program.  Stampin’ Up! releases a new Product of the Month each month that you can purchase for $5 with a $75 qualifying purchase.  These products can not be purchased in any other way, nor can you purchase more than one of them.  While the paper is not available the layout I show in this post can be used with any Designer Series Paper and it also coordinates with the gift box I posted on April 26th.  I am hoping this will inspire you to use some of that beautiful DSP you have already to make this great gift box and card set.  So here is todays card…

The card base is Basic White cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I added a layer of Night of Navy cardstock that measures 4 x 5 ¼”.  Then I took a piece of the Designer Series Paper (DSP) that had two sides that coordinated nicely with one another and cut it at 3 ½ x 4 ¾”.  Then I cut that piece of DSP from the top to the bottom at 2 ½” and then turned that piece and cut it again at 2 ¾” (these are the blocks for the left side of the card).  Then I took the remaining 1 x 4 ¾” piece of DSP and turned it side ways and cut at 1 ½” (these are the blocks for the right side of the card).  I adhered the DSP to the card front.

Next, I die cut a piece of Night of Navy and a piece of Basic White cardstock using the circles from the Spotlight on Nature dies.  On the white circle I stamped the sentiment “Grateful for You” from the Layers of Beauty Stamp Set using Balmy Blue Ink (folks this set is on clearance and is just $20 while supplies last.  I also stamped three of the little flowers from the stamp set onto the white circle using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored them using Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight and Garden Green Stampin Blends.  I adhered the white circle to the night of navy circle and added some ribbon (this is retired but remember use your stash) to the back of it before popping the whole thing up on the front of the card using Dimensionals.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and more on my website at https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2206796 or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.  Be sure to follow me at:
