BLUEBERRY HELLO

Today’s card features the cute new Blueberry Bunches Stamp set from the January – April Mini Catalog.  As soon as I saw this stamp set I just couldn’t get over how cute it was and all the things I could think of to do with it (I even have some blueberry paper left over from a previous Sale-A-Bration that I can’t wait to use with it).  So I decided for this card I would do some stamping, coloring and a little fussy cutting.  Now these berries are super easy to fussy cut so don’t be intimidated.  Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Orchid Oasis cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I cut a layer of Starry Sky (love that dark against the lighter) that measured 3 ¼ x 4 ½” and then I cut my Basic White layer to 3 x 4 ¼”.  For my Basic White layer, I wanted to add some additional interest so I turned the piece over and scored from the back at ½ and 5/8” on the top and bottom (this adds some lines that you may or may not be able to see in the photo but they look great on the card and add some nice detail).  Then I took my Petal Park Stamp Set and grabbed out the stamp with these little dots (there are lots of sets with these or you could even create them yourself with a Stampin’ Write or Stampin’ Blend Marker) I used Starry Sky Ink.

I stamped my image from the Blueberry Bunches Stamp set onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored with with Orchid Oasis, and Parakeet Party Stampin’ Blends (note: I did use my color lifter Stampin’ Blend just to remove a little of the Orchid Oasis marker in some areas to give it a look of a shadow.  I stamped my sentiment “Hello There” also from the Blueberry Bunches Stamp Set onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock and die cut it using the oval die from the All That Dies (you could use any shape die or punch you have to create this.  Then I added the whole thing to the front of my card with Dimensionals and finished it off with a bow made from the Orchid Oasis Metallic Woven Ribbon which I added using a Mini Glue Dot.

For the inside of the card, I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock that measured 4 x 5 ¼” and stamped two of the blueberry bunches off the sides, added my dot stamp and colored them the same as I did on the front.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and more on my website at https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2206796 or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.  Be sure to follow me at:
