YOU MAKE ME SMILE

Today’s card features the Nature’s Symphony Bundle.  I am again working with the True Blue Florals Designer Series Paper (DSP) which are retired.  As I said before I am just making cards to go with a card gift box I posted a few days ago and these basic designs can be used with any DSP you have on hand.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Night of Navy cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I cut a layer of Balmy Blue cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” (TIP:  I die cut my foliage for the card front from the center of this layer before going further, this is a great way to say cardstock and since it is being covered no one will ever know), don’t add this to the card base as we are going to add DSP and then pop that layer up.   I added a layer of the True Blue Florals DSP that measures 3 7/8 x 5 1/8” onto this (I like that thin border) to the Balmy Blue cardstock layer and then added it to the front of the card with Dimensionals.

I added my Balmy Blue foliage piece that I had previously cut out of one of the layers to the front of the card and I die cut another from Gold Foil Specialty Paper and cut it in half and added half to the card.  I stamped the sentiment “You make me smile” also from the Nature’s Symphony Bundle onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock and die cut it using one of the Circles from the Spotlight on Nature Dies and popped that up on the front of the card with Dimensionals.
