SCALLOPED HUGS

Today’s card features the Scalloped Blooms Bundle, the 2026 – 2028 In Color Painted Patterns 12 x 12” Designer Series Paper and the Bloom Boutique 12 x 12” Specialty Designer Series Paper (I love the bits of gold throughout this paper).  I wanted to create a simple clean card without a bunch of fuss and this is that I came up with…

The card base is the new Hydrangea Hue cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I used the dies from the bundle and cut two of the blooms from the looms Boutique 12 x 12” DSP.  The largest was cut from the white background paper and I used third from the largest die for this one.  The smaller one was cut from the blue background paper and I used the 4th from the largest die for this one.  I adhered the two blooms together and used my paper trimmer to cut some off the left edge.  I adhered these to the left side of a piece of the Painted Patterns DSP that measured 4 x 5 ¼”.

Once that was done, I added a piece of the Hydrangea Hue Bordered Ribbon that measured 5 ½” around the layer and adhered it to the back.  I took another piece that measured 4” and used it to tie a square knot bow onto the front then I adhered this layer to the front of my card base.  I stamped the sentiment “HUGS” from the bundle onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock with Hydrangea Hue Ink and added that to the right side of my bow using Mini Glue Dots.

For the inside of the card, I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and added a scrap of the DSP that measures ¾ x 4”.  For the envelope you can cut a piece of the Designer Series Paper to 2 ¼” x 6” and adhere it to the flap and trim it to fit.  I don’t like to waste DSP so I like to cut mine to 2 x 6”, it will be little short, just trim off the envelope that is not covered with DSP, there is still plenty of adhesive remaining.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and more on my website at https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2206796 or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.  Be sure to follow me at:
