A BETTER PLACE

Today’s card features the new Ferns & Flora Bundle and the gorgeous new Moonlit Flora 12 x 12” Designer Series Paper.  I saw a card like this posted on Pinterest by Amy Koenders and loved it.  She had used one of the Freshly Made Sketches as inspiration (I have this one and many more saved just for inspiration).  I have posted previously about how I save these sketches as well as ones I create and use them for inspiration.  While this sketch shows the design in a portrait style Amy did her’s in a landscape which I loved, so I did mine that way as well.  I changed a little (not a ton) and I like what I came up with.

The card base is Secret Sea cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I used a 4 x 5 ¼” piece of secret sea colored more neutral piece of the Moonlit Flora DSP as a layer.  Then I die cut two pieces of the DSP (one of the more neutrals and one with all the beautiful design and colors) out using the two largest of the rectangular dies from the Nested Essential Dies.  I adhered the larger green one to the right side of my card base about 3/8” from the side.  I added the second one over about 1” from the right side of the first, centered and popped up with Dimensionals.

Next, I die cut the foliage piece from the bundle out of Golden Glow cardstock and tucked it under the left bottom area of the rectangle.  I stamped the outline stamp and the sentiment “You Make the World a Better Place” onto a scrap of Golden Glow cardstock using Peaceful Pine Ink and die cut it using the die from the bundle.  I added a Dimensional under the left side and adhered the right side directly onto the rectangle piece.  Note:  Place your sentiment and foliage based on what design element on your DSP you want to be visible.  Finally, I added three of the Dewdrop Embellishments (I chose the blue) onto my card.

For the inside and the envelope I simply stamped part of the large fern from the bundle onto a corner with Secret Sea Ink.  Below is the sketch that was the inspiration for this card.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and more on my website at https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2206796 or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.  Be sure to follow me at:
