SEASIDE LIGHTHOUSE

Today’s card features the amazingly beautiful Scenic Coast 6 x 6” Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Sunset Coast Bundle.  I feel in love with this paper when I first saw it online but to be honest the photos do not begin to truly show it’s beauty.  I could not wait to get it and work with it and I was not disappointed.  Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Basic White cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 3 7/8 x 5 1/8” and then took the die with the circle and lighthouse and placed it centered about ½” from the top and die cut it.  I stamped my sentiment “Wherever this note finds you…” with Secret Sea Ink onto the bottom right corner.  I then cut a piece of the beautiful DSP to 3 x 3” (I love that I can make 4 cards out of one piece of the DSP) and added that behind my lighthouse.  Once that was all adhered, I added this to a piece of Secret Sea cardstock that measured 4 x 5 ¼”.

For additional interest I did wrap this layer with a piece of Secret Sea Bordered Open Weave Ribbon that I adhered to the back of the layer.  I then wrapped a piece of Linen Thread around the center of that ribbon and tied a bow.  For the inside I stamped the sentiment “…I hope it finds you happy!” from the bundle using Secret Sea Ink.  On the bottom right corner and on the envelope, I stamped the small water stamp using Azure Afternoon Ink and then added the small sailboat stamped in Secret Sea Ink.
