Today’s card features the new Painted Lavender Bundle and the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper featured in the new January – April Mini Catalog. Don’t forget with each qualifying order during January and February you can earn free Sale-A-Bration products.
Here is what I came up
with…
The card base is Pretty Peacock cardstock
cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”. I
then cut a piece of Lost Lagoon cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and embossed it using the
Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder (I sure love these 3D Embossing Folders;
they add a whole new layer of texture to your cards). I then cut a piece of Gorgeous Grape
cardstock to 2 ¼ x 5 ¼” and mounted a piece of that beautiful Perennial
Lavender Designer Series Paper that measured 2 x 5 ¼” onto it. And added that to the right side of my card
about ¼” over from the end of the Lost Lagoon layer. Next, I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock
to 2 3/8 x 3 7/8” and embossed it using one of the online exclusives offers the
Basics 3D Embossing Folder (I use these a lot).
I popped this up over on the center left of my card front (about ¼” from
the left side of the Lost Lagoon cardstock layer) using Dimensionals.
To finish the card, I grabbed some scraps
of Basic White cardstock and stamped two of the flowers from the bundle using
Gorgeous Grape Ink and two of the stems in Shaded Spruce ink and die cut them
using the coordinating dies from the bundle.
I stamped my sentiment “Thank You” from the Go To Greetings Stamp Set in
Gorgeous Grape Ink (you will note I use this set a whole lot that is because it
is such a versatile sentiment set) onto another piece of scrap Basic White
cardstock and then die cut it using the Tailor Made Tags Dies. To add some additional interest, I die cut
another of those tags out of the beautiful Soft Shimmer Specialty Paper (I used
the Pretty Peacock one) and just placed it behind the sentiment tag. I added the flowers and sentiments to the
embossed white layer and added a little double bow I created using Linen Thread
and a Mini Glue Dot.
