Today’s card features the
new Lifetime of Love bundle from the January – April Mini catalog along with
one of the free products you can earn during Sale-A-Bration the adorable Flight
& Airy Designer Series Paper. I
wanted to feature a bundle that if you purchased it you would qualify for one
of the fee products being offered during Sale-A-Bration and to show that those
products could be joined together to creat a fun card and I was inspired by one
created by the Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team using these products.
Here is what I came up
with…
The card base is Orchid Oasis cardstock cut
to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”. I then
cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and centered my die from the
Lifetime of Love Bundle onto it and die cut it (SAVE ALL THE PIECES EVEN THE
ONES YOU THINK ARE SCRAP). I also used
that same die to cut out that same die from the Flight & Airy DSP. With all those pieces die cut I set out to
assemble my card.
I took my Basic White layer and using one
of the masks from the Foursquare Decorative Masks I added little blue squares
to it creating my own DSP layer. I used
Orchid Oasis Ink and a Blending Brush to add the ink, I went dark in some areas
and light in others for added interest.
Once that was complete, I adhered that layer to the center of my card
base. Next, I added in the die cut piece
that I had created from cutting out my basic white layer, I just fit it right
back into where it had been cut from.
Then I took the center (what looks like scrap) from the DSP die cut and
added it right back into the center of the white layer (be careful with the
little edges of the DSP and be sure to adhere them good). Now I did set aside that floral element that
was cut from the DSP because I have plans to use it on another card (so many
ideas so little time, LOL). As for the left-over
piece from the center of the white layer I used it and stamped my sentiment “LOVE
YOU” from the bundle onto it using Orchid Oasis Ink and then die cut it using
one of the dies from the Timeless Arrangements Dies and popped it up on Dimensionals. To finish off the card I added three of the
Loose Frosted Dots to it.
I hope you enjoy this card I certainly
enjoyed making it. As always you can
