Healing Thoughts

It seems like I am using more and more sympathy cards these days (I guess that is part of growing older).  I like to keep several on hand that I have completed except for the inside (I like to personalize this to the recipient.  This sentiment “Sending healing thoughts, may nature’s beauty bring peace to your sole” from the Nature’s Harvest bundle is beautiful.  I thought it could be used for many things including a sympathy card (even for the loss of a beloved pet) so I decided to work with the sentiment and create a card.

Here is what I came up with…

I have recently been drawn to the Stampin’ Up! products in Blackberry Bliss, I think it is because the it seems like a fall color to me.  So here is how I created this card.  The card base is Blackberry Bliss cardstock that is cut 5 ½ x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”.  I added a layer of Designer Series Paper from the Pattern Party package (this can only be purchased with Hostess Rewards but it is a great deal as you get 48 sheets, 4 each of 12 double side designs) you could also use one of the beautiful pieces of Designer Series Paper from the Harvest Meadow package (item number 156494) that coordinates with the bundle.  This layer is 4 x 5 ¼”.

Next, using the dies from the Nature’s Harvest Bundle I die cut two of the cute stems from the bundle out of Blackberry Bliss scraps.  Then I stamped my flowers from the stamp set onto a piece of Very Vanilla (about 2 ¾ x 4 ¼”) using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored it using the Stampin’ Blends listed below.  I adhered my Blackberry Bliss stems directly to the DSP layer and then used both Diminsionals and Mini Diminsionals to add my flowers over them.  For the finishing touch I stamped my sentiment onto a scrap of Crushed Curry cardstock using Blackberry Bliss ink and die cut it using one of the dies from the bundle, then I adhered it to the card front using Dimensionals.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.

Happy Crafting!!!
