Another Watercolor

I wanted to do another card using the watercolor technique I used yesterday.  Today’s card however is meant to be a simple note card so it has no sentiments or stamping and uses only the Meadows Dies and only three colors of ink and cardstock.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Bumble Bee cardstock that is cut 5 ½ x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”.  The second layer is Evening Evergreen cut to 4 x 5 ¼” (again we are going to wait to adhere this layer until it is fully assembled).  I cut tow of the flowers and the fern from the Meadows Dies out of Fluid 100 Watercolor paper.  I then used the same technique and tools as yesterdays card (Water Painters, Stampin’ Spritzer, and inks) to color my flowers and fern.  One thing I have always been told is not to be afraid of a little white (hard for a type A personality let me tell you) and so I did that this time and I love the affect.  I colored the flowers using So Saffron and Bumble Bee ink and the fern was colored using Evening Evergreen (very watered down) ink.  Once they were all dried, I arranged them on my Evening Evergreen layer.

I added a piece of the Old Olive/Pretty Peacock Ribbon around the layer and tied a square knot.  I then added this layer to my base using Dimensionals.  To finish off my card I added five of the Champaign Rhinestone Basic Jewels.  So, as you can see this was a pretty simple card to create and could be done in tons of different colors.  I am thinking I might like to make a set of these in different colors to give as gifts, after all, we all need note cards from time to time.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.

Happy Crafting!!!
