Making a Fast Basic Card

Sometimes you just need a simple card to send off to a friend just to let them know you are thinking of them (more so these days than ever before as we practice social distancing).  So today I wanted to show just how easy it is to make a simple card (or lots of them, as this card could be easily mass produced). A little card stock, some small left-over pieces of Designer Series Paper, a stamp, ink and a ribbon and you have your card.  The key is to simply find something you love, the paper, the stamp, an ink color and just build from there.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Pear Pizzazz card stock that is cut 5 ½ x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”.  I cut a piece of Shaded Spruce card stock to 3 ¼ x 5” and then cut three pieces of the Designer Series Paper (these were actually cut from scraps from an earlier project) to 1 ½ x 3” and attached them to the Shaded Spruce layer.  I wrapped a piece of the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack ribbon around the layer and tied in a square knot.

I stamped my sentiment from the Lovely You stamp set directly onto the bottom right corner of my card base using Shaded Spruce ink and attached my layer and there you have it a card in less then 10 minutes.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.

Forever Greenery Makes Me Smile

I told you I have been having some fun with this suite of products and today I once again found myself drawn to the beautiful Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper.  This paper comes with six sheets: 3 each of 2 single-sided designs.  There is a total of 18 of the larger pieces that I showed on my blog on September 3rd that make their own card layer and another 42 pieces of varied accents that are perfect for your cards, like the one I am using here…

The card base is Just Jade cardstock that is cut 4 ¼ x 11” and is scored at 5 ½”.  To this I added a layer of the coordinating Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper that measures 4 x 5 ¼”.  I also added a strip of Shaded Spruce cardstock that measured 1 ½ x 5 ½” and which was embossed using the coordinating Greenery Embossing Folder (I told you this suite has some awesome products in it).

The gold element is a single embellishment from the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty papers.  I just stamped my sentiment from the Forever Fern Stamp set onto Whisper White cardstock with Shaded Spruce ink and punched it out using the 2” Circle Punch.  I attached the sentiment to the gold laser cut and then popped that whole thing up onto the center of the card using Dimensionals.

The final addition was three Rhinestone Basic Jewels.  This card took minutes to make but looks very impressive when it is completed.  You just can’t go wrong with the great products in this suite.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.

Love and Laughter

I have been doing a good amount of playing with the new having some fun with the new Forever Greenery Suite.  I just love all the products in the suite and will be spending the next week or so showing them off.  Here is today's card…

The card base is Pear Pizzazz cardstock that is cut 4 ¼ x 11” and scored at 5 ½”.  I then added a layer of Shaded Spruce that measured 4 x 5 ½” to the center of the card base.  Next, I added one of the many beautiful Gold Laser-Cut pieces from the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper, let me tell you these pieces make your card for you.  (Note: be careful applying your adhesive because these pieces are pretty fine).

I stamped my sentiment from the Forever Fern Stamp set onto a piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock using Shaded Spruce ink and die cut it using one of the dies from the Tasteful Labels dies.  I added some little speckles (one of the stamps in the set) right onto it with Pear Pizzazz ink just to add a little something extra.  I wrapped a little piece of the Reversible Ribbon and a little of the gold twine from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack under the sentiment and then popped the whole thing up on dimensionals.  I love how classy it looks and using the Gold Laser-Cut paper made it super simple to create.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.

Forever Fern Fun Fold

The ladies in my card club have asked for some more fun fold cards so today I created this card for them featuring the Forever Fern Bundle and coordinating Forever Greenery Designer Series Papers.

The card base is Garden Green cardstock that is cut 5 ½ x 8 ½”, and scored at 1 ½ and 4 ¼”.  I folded the card in half at 4 ½” just like most cards but then where I scored at 1 ½” I folded that back onto the card front.  For the left side of the card I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock that measured 5 ½ x 4” and I scattered the little dots from the stamp set all over it using Crumb Cake ink.  Then I attached pieces of two of the coordinating Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper to the fold and the far right, each piece measured 1 x 5 ¼”.

I stamped several of the foliage pieces from the stamp set onto Whisper White cardstock using Soft Seafoam, Garden Green and Pretty Peacock inks and die cut them using the coordinating dies from the bundle.  I also cut a few pieces of the foliage out of the Designer Series paper (the dies from the bundle coordinate with some of them as well).  I tucked the larger pieces up under my 1 ½” fold and then attached the fold down over top of them.

I stamped my sentiment onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock using Pretty Peacock ink and added more of the dots again using the Crumb Cake ink.  I die cut it using one of the dies from the Tasteful Labels Dies.  I punched out a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock using the Everyday Labels Punch and added my sentiment to it.  I added a little of the Linen Thread and a couple of the smaller foliage pieces and popped it all up on the front of the card using Dimensionals.

For the inside of the card I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock that measured 2 ½ x 5 ¼” and I stamped the smallest of the foliage stamps in the corner using Pear Pizzazz ink as shown below.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.
