SIMPLE FRIENDLY FOLIAGE GET WELL (1-7-2026)

Today’s card features the Friendly Foliage stamp set and the Textured Notes Dies.  I wanted to keep this card simple and show that you don’t have to go over the top with products (use as many of these or as few as you want) to create a cute card.  I saw a video on YouTube that was done by Kelly Acheson and I loved the technique she used to add some color to this design so I used the idea on this card.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Balmy Blue cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I then cut a layer of Basic White cardstock to 3 ¾ x 5” and stamped the largest of the images from the Friendly Foliage stamp set on the bottom left corner using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I then grabbed a scrap of cardstock that also measured roughly the same as the white and used the third narrowest of the Textured Notes die to cut a rectangle out of the bottom left of it.  I used this to mask my image so I could use a Blending Brush and add Balmy Blue Ink without going outside the lines of the image.  You could also use masking tape for this but the cardstock piece can be used over and over just move it around to reveal the areas you want to ink.  I kept my ink along the bottom and left side of the image.  Once that was done, I added my sentiment “Get well soon” also from the same stamp set stamped in Tuxedo Black Ink.  I adhered this layer to a piece of Basic Black cardstock that measured 4 x 5 ¼”.  I grabbed some Balmy Blue Twine I had in my stash (it is now retired but the black twine from the Basic Twine Pack would work great as well) and wrapped it around these two layers three times and tied a bow.

I added these layers to my card base using Dimensionals.  To finish off the front I added three Frosted Iridescent Dots (these are currently on sale in the last chance offers).  For the inside I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and stamped the leaf images from the set in the bottom corner using Balmy Blue Ink.  I did that same stamping on the envelope.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and more on my website at https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2206796 or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.  Be sure to follow me at:
