PURPLE OR GREEN WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Today I am showcasing two cards that once again feature the Friendly Foliage Bundle (can you tell I am loving this bundle).  Both cards are simple to create with the bundle and both also use the more neutral sides of the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper.  The first card features the Everyday Arches Dies and the second card features the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder.

Here is what I came up with…

For card one the card base is Basic White cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I then cut a piece of the green-colored paper from the Perennial Lavender DSP to 4 x 5 ¼ and adhered it to my card base.  I then die cut the 4th largest of the arches out of Basic White cardstock and adhered that to the center of the card.  Next, I stamped the foliage piece from the bundle onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock with Lost Lagoon Ink.  I also stamped two of the smaller foliage pieces to tuck in around the image when I adhered it.  I stamped the sentiment “Get well soon” from the same stamp set onto another scrap of Basic White using Lost Lagoon Ink.  I used the smallest of the arched dies to cut out the sentiment.  I used the coordinating dies (one for the outline and one to remove the excess from inside the outline) from the bundle to die cut out my foliage image.  I also used the small leaf die to cut out the two extra images I stamped.  I attached the foliage piece to the center of my large arch using Foam Adhesive Strips then I attached my sentiment over the bottom right of that using Dimensionals.  I added the two little leaf dies and some embellishments from my stash (these are some retired metal dots).

For card number two I also began with a card base of Basic White cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I then cut a piece of the purple-colored paper from the Perennial Lavender DSP to 4 x 5 ¼ and adhered it to my card base.  Next, I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 3 ½ x 4 ¾” and embossed it with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder and added that to the front of the card.  I stamped my foliage image onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock using Blackberry Bliss Ink and die cut it the same way I did with card #1.  I attached it to the front (a little left of center) of my card again using those Foam Adhesive Strips.  To finish off my card I stamped the sentiment “Thinking of You” onto a scrap of Basic White that was 5/8 x 3 5/8” with Blackberry Bliss Ink.  I attached that to a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock that measured 7/8 x 3 5/8” and attached that to the front of my card with Dimesionals.  I added three of the Frosted Iridescent Dots that are currently in the last chance product list.

I really love how these cards turned out and it was fun to play around with the same set and same paper and yet make such different cards.  I hope you enjoy both of these cards I certainly enjoyed making them.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and more on my website at https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2206796 or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.  Be sure to follow me at:
