A SHEPHERD’S PEACE

Today’s card features the Shepherd’s Care Stamp Set and the Season of Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I wanted this card to by simple yet elegant so I minimized coloring and I do believe it was quite successful.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Cherry Cobbler cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I added a strip of the Season of Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper that measured 2 x 5 ½” (I chose to use the cherry cobbler paper but this paper comes in 6 different colors so there are lots of choices) about ½” from the right side.  I added strips of Gold Foil on either side of the DSP that measured ¼ x 5 ½”.

Next, I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 3 x 4 ¼” and stamped my shepherd in Crumb Cake Ink.  I used my Cherry Cobbler Stamp and Blend marker to color just the Shepherd’s head scarf.  I mounted this onto a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock that measured 3 ¼ x 4 ½” and then I added this to the card (centered about ¼” from the left side) using Dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment “Peace on Earth” onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock and die cut it using the Stylish Shapes Dies (remember you can use any sentiment, any die, any punch you want) and I added that to the bottom of my shepherd.  For the final addition I added three o the Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

For the inside of the card, I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and stamped the sentiment “Praying that you will feel the Good Shepherd’s care in this Season and throughout the Coming Year” (also from the Shepherd’s Care set) in Cherry Cobbler Ink.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and more on my website at https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2206796 or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.  Be sure to follow me at:
