Hello Honeybee

I wanted to feature the Heart & Home Designer Series Paper today.  It coordinates with both the Honeybee Home and Blessings of Home stamp sets (both of which have carried over to the new Annual Catalog).  His paper however will be retiring at the end of the Mini Catalog on June 30th so I would encourage everyone to get some now while it is still available, it makes such adorable cards.  I wanted to feature another great fun fold.

Here’s what I ended up with…

The card base is Cinnamon Cider cardstock (this cardstock retired but the concept is still great and you can select from tons of other colors) that is cut to 5 ½ x 11” and scored at 1 ¾, 3 ½, 5 ¼, and 7”.  I also cut a piece of Crumbcake cardstock to 3 x 6” and scored at 3”.  I cut two pieces of Pale Papaya cardstock to 1 ½ x 5 ¼” and then embossed them using the Hive 3D Embossing Folder.  I cut two pieces of the Heart & Home Designer Series Paper to 1 ½ x 5 ¼”.  Now just add the DSP and the embossed Pale Papaya cardstock as shown in the photo.

Cut two pieces of Basic White cardstock to 2 ¾ x 2 ¾ and stamp using the Honeybee Home Stamp Set.  I stamped using Black Tuxedo Memento Ink two of the flowers and a bee on one sheet and colored using the Stampin’ Blends listed below.  On the second piece I stamped the sentiment “stay wonderful” from the set and another bee.  These are then attached to the Crumbcake cardstock piece that was previously cut and scored.  This is then attached to the cardbase.  (NOTE: what I found worked the best was to close my card and center my crumbcake piece on it.  Once I found that center, I adhered the front being sure to just adhere on the left side so the card could open.  Once that was dry, I opened my card keeping the accordion folds from the front all together and laying flat and I adhered the other side of the crumbcake piece being sure to just adhere on the right side so it would open.)

For the inside of the card, I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 3 3/4 x 5 ¼” and stamped and colored another of the bees on the top right side.  I added a piece of the Designer Series Paper that measured 1 x 3 ¾”

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.
