Sending Sunshine

How doesn’t love being sent some sunshine?  Today’s card is doing just that while showing off another of Stampin’ Up!’s newest colors, Moody Mauve.  I wanted to mix together some new and some older products and here is what I came up with…

The card base is Moody Mauve cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 1/2” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I added a layer of the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper that measured 4 x 5 ¼”.  I die cut another piece of the Moody Mauve using the second largest of the Countryside Corners and added it to the center of the gold.  Using the Two Tone Flora Stamp Set I stamped two flowers onto scraps of Basic White cardstock using Moody Mauve and Berry Burst (another new color) Ink and die cut them with the coordinating Two Tone Flora Dies.  I also stamped three of the leaves from the stamp set onto scraps of Basic White cardstock using Lost Lagoon (another new color) Ink and die cut them as well.  I attached them in a cluster at the top left of the Moody Mauve die cut using Dimensionals.

Using the Sending Dies, I die cut the work “Sending” out of Moody Mauve cardstock and then cut out the background of the word “Sending” and the long label from Basic White cardstock.  I adhered the two layers of the word “sending” together and then popped them up on my card using Dimensionals.  I stamped my sentiment “SUNSHINE TO BRIGHTEN YOUR DAY” onto the label using the Moody Mauve Ink and added it to the bottom right of the card front.  To finish off the card I added three of the Iridescent Pearls Basic Jewels.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.

Petal Park Birthday

Today’s card was created using the Petal Park, Two Tone Flora and Go To Greetings stamp sets along with the Petal Park Builder Punch and the beautiful new Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper.  I love the use of night of navy and balmy blue together so I wanted to highlight that.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Night on Navy cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 1/2” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I added a layer of Balmy Blue that was 3 7/8 x 5 1/8”.  To that I added two pieces of the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper, one was cut at 3 x 3 ¾” and the second was cut at 2 x 3 ¾”.  I just attached them to the Balmy Blue layer and where they met, I add a piece of the Night of Navy Bordered Ribbon to hide the seam (just attach it to the back of the layer before adhering it to the card.

Then I used the Petal Park Stamp Set and stamped my flowers onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock using Balmy Blue for the main color and Misty Moonlight for the highlights (this is a stamp set that used the two-step process, meaning there are two stamps, one for the main image and one to add the details).  I also stamped the leaves from the Two Tone Flora Stamp Set (you could use this one or another leaf set or even a leaf punch if you have one for the same affect) onto another scrap of Basic White cardstock using Balmy Blue Ink and I die cut it using the Two Tone Flora dies.  I added my flowers and the leaves to the card using Dimensionals.

My sentiment is from one of my favorite stamp sets the Go To Greetings set.  I stamped “Happy Birthday onto a scrap of Balmy Blue using Night of Navy ink and then die cut it out using one of the dies from the Something Fancy Dies (you could just stamp it onto a rectangle you cut, it measures about ½ x 2 ½” if you don’t have the dies).  I added this to the bottom left of my card again using Dimensionals.  For my final embellishment I added three dots to the center of my flowers and one on my sentiment label from the Glossy Dot Assortment.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.

Happy Birthday Classic

I decided to work on a masculine card today featuring some of the amazing gray’s that Stampin’ Up! offers.  So this card is all about Smoky Slate and Pebbled Path and my goal was to limit the supplies I used.  I hope you like it.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Smoky Slate cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 8 1/2” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I cut a layer of Pebbled Path cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and embossed it with one of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders (I sure am glad I purchased the set of three of these they are super versatile).  I then cut the three little images on the left side of the card and the label I used for the sentiment out using scraps of Smoky Slate cardstock and the dies from the All That Die set.  I stamped my sentiment “Happy Birthday to a Classic” with the cute classic truck from the He’s All That Stamp Set using Pebbled Patch Ink.

I attached my three shapes (I have no idea what to call the shape) to the left side of the card and added a Classic Matte Dot to the center of each.  Then I added my sentiment label to the right side, center of the card using Dimensionals.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.

W V Fun Fold

Today’s card is a neat fun fold that is called a W V Fun Fold.  The name comes from the fact that the card is made with a W fold and a V fold.  This card is highlighting the Circle Sayings Bundle and some of the new colors in the Annual Catalog.

Here is what I made…

The card base is Night of Navy cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 11” and scored at 1 ¾”, 3 ½” 5 ¼” and 7”.  Starting on the left-hand side fold the card, mountain fold, valley fold, mountain fold, valley fold and you will have a nice upside-down W.  Next, I took four pieces of Boho Blue cardstock that was cut to 1 ½ x 5 ¼” and embossed them using one of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders (I think this one looks like little sand dollars).  I attached these to each of my panels of my W.  Then I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and attached that to the inside of the card.

On to the V portion of our card.  I cut a piece of Night of Navy cardstock to 3 x 6” and scored it at 3”.  It was folded in a mountain fold which creates a V.  Before attaching I did all my decorating because it is easier to work with it while it is laying flat.  I added layers of Boho Blue that measured 2 7/8 x 2 7/8” and layers of Night of Navy that measured 2 ¾ x 2 ¾”.  Next, I used one of my retired dies and cut out two scalloped circles that are about 2 ½” (you could easily use the second largest of the stitched circles from the Stylish Shapes Dies or a 2 ½ circle punch if you have one) out of Boho Blue.  I stamped my first image (the ocean and sun) from the Circle Sayings Stamp set onto a piece of Basic White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I used my Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend to highlight the suns rays and the sun itself.  Then I used my Dark Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Blend to highlight the lines in the waves.  To finish off the coloring I used Blending Brushes and blended in Misty Moonlight and Daffodil Delight Ink to finish my coloring.  Once it was all done, I punched it out using the 2 3/8” circle punch that is part of the Circle Sayings Bundle and attached it to the left side of my V.  Then I punched out a Basic White cardstock circle using the same punch and I stamped the image of seashells onto the bottom of it using Pecan Pie Ink (I did add a little Wink of Stella to really make it pop).  I stamped the sentiment “Happy Birthday” onto it using Boho Blue Ink and adhered it to the right side of the V.  Once everything was adhered, I folded my card up and putting adhesive just on the very ends I attached my V onto my W.  The left side is adhered to the very front and the right side is adhered to the last of the panels on the inside.  Be sure to use adhesive only where they lay on those panels so your card will open completely.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.
