Sweet Talk and Vellum

I have been having some fun with the new Sweet Talk Suite from the January – June Mini Catalog.  Today’s creation used several of the items from the suite along with some vellum.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Highland Heather cardstock that is cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”.  I added a layer of the Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper to it that measured 4 x 5 ¼”.  Then I cute a piece of Vellum that measured 3 ½ x 4 ¼” and I embossed that using the Gingham Embossing Folder.  I attached this to a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock that measured 3 ¼ x 4” (be sure to use adhesive in areas that will be covered by your embellishments so it doesn’t show through on the finished card).  I then attached this layer right on the center of the card.

To embellish I stamped my sentiment from the Sweet Conversations Bundle onto a strip of Blushing Bride cardstock that measured ½ x 3 ¼” using Real Red Ink.  I die cut three little red hearts from Real Red cardstock using the dies from the bundle and I attached one of them onto my sentiment strip.  I then added the sentiment along the bottom of my vellum layer using Dimensionals.  I then stamped two hearts one says UR CUTE and the other says HUG ME onto scraps of Highland Heather and Blushing Bride cardstock using Highland Heather and Blushing Bride ink respectively and die cut them using the coordinating dies from the bundle.  I also cut out two of the little envelopes from Real Red cardstock using the dies in the bundle.  I folded up my envelopes and sealed them except for the top flap which is where I inserted my two stamped hearts.  I added these to my card using Dimensionals.  I used the two additional little Real Red hearts I had die cut to cover where I had used adhesive to attach my vellum.  I added two little Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the envelopes.  I was very happy with the results.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.

Sale-A-bration Fun

I have been having some fun with the new products from the January – June Mini catalog but since I purchased those, I also earned some great free products through the Sale-A-Bration promotion.  What is Sale-a-Bration?  Well from 4 January – 28 February 2022 you can earn lots of free products when making a qualified purchase.  Some items are free with a $50 order and others are free with a $100 order.  Also, there is an amazing free hostess set that is being offered during the event to anyone who hosts a party and achieves $300 in sales.  Oh, and did I mention if you chose to join my team during Sale-a-bration you will get to select $125 worth of products for just $99 and if that is not enough you get to select 2 free stamp sets (that is about a $50 value) so $175 worth of products for just $99 and you also get free shipping!  Feel free to contact me to learn more.

Today I wanted to highlight one of the free Designer Series Paper Packs being offered during Sale-a-bration.  It is called Daffodil Afternoon and it is 12 sheets, 2 each of 6 double sided designs and it coordinates beautifully with the Daffodil Daydreams Bundle in the new Mini Catalog (oh and if you purchase that bundle you qualify for this product or several more from the new Sale-a-bration catalog, that’s how I got mine).

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Pale Papaya cardstock that is cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”.  I added a piece of the Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper to the front of the card, it measures 4 ¼ x 5 ½” so it fits perfectly.  I then cut a piece of the DSP to 3 ½ x 4 ¾”.  Once that was cut, I cut it down again.  I cut it in half at 1 ¾”, then I cut the piece from the right side in half at 1 ¾” from the top.  I took each of these pieces and mounted them onto Evening Evergreen cardstock (those pieces measured, 1 7/8 x 4 7/8”, 1 7/8 x 1 7/8” and 1 7/8 x 2 7/8”).  Once everything was mounted, I added them to my card base just spacing them out evenly.  I stamped my sentiment (which is also from one of the Sale-a-bration free product offers, the Special Moments Stamp which is free with a $100 purchase and has 21 different sentiments in it) onto a piece of Evening Evergreen cardstock with VersaMark ink and then heat embossed it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  I used one of the dies from the Pretty Pillowbox Die sets to cut it out but you could simply add it without die cutting.  I added it using Dimensionals.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.

More Sweet Talk

Yesterday I shared some make and take projects that my customers got to make during my Open House to launch the new January – June Mini Catalog.  We worked with the new Sweet Talk Suite so today I wanted to share some more from that suite.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Basic White cardstock that is cut to 5 ½ x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”.  I added an additional layer of Basic White cardstock that measured 4 x 5 ¼”, I stamped my sentiment “HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY” onto this layer using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then I embossed it using the new Gingham Embossing Folder.  I used the Sweet Conversations Bundle for all my stamping and die cutting.  I cut two cute little tags out of the Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper and I used two of the dies from the bundle to cut out the little hearts with cute sayings from the Designer Series Paper.  I cut out the row of six hearts that I used on the bottom right of the card from Petal Pink cardstock (save the hearts that come out of the middle because we are going to use those as well.

Now after everything is stamped, embossed and die cut it was time to assemble.  I added my embossed layer.  I added some of the White ¼” Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon to the tags I die cut.  I then adhered one of them directly onto the card.  I added the second one using Dimensionals.  I added the hearts with sayings that were die cut from the DSP onto each of these again with Dimensionals.  I adhered my row of hearts to the bottom right of the card and then took five of the hearts that were left when I die cut those and added them all around the card using Mini Dimensionals (I used 5 because odd numbers look the best).  And there you have it, a fast simple card that took minutes to create.  Change the sentiment and this card could work for a number of occasions.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.

Sweet Talk

First I need to apologize for being away for so long.  Long story but I had a major computer melt down and with the holidays and other issues it has taken some time to get a new computer (they apparently don't stock them in the stores these days) and to get help getting my files backed up and onto my new computer.   But here I am back up and running finally.

Yesterday I held my Open House yesterday to preview the new January – June Mini Catalog and the January – February Sale-a-bration catalog.  We did a walkthrough of the catalog along with checking out my new sample boards, everyone got a raffle prize and a sweet treat from me and we created the following make and take projects…

I will include the instructions for both projects below.  Here were the sweet treats I made for each of the ladies in honor of the Sweet Talk Suite (say that three times fast) from the new mini catalog.

Oh, and did I tell you hubby created some amazing food for us as well.  A nice charcuterie board, baby pizza’s, royal Thai crab cakes and dessert.  He always delivers with the food.

So let me tell you all about how we made these projects.  First the “Sweet Little Box” is from the new mini catalog (10 per package).  We each assembled our boxes and then added some of the Sweet Talk designer series paper around them.  This piece was3 x 7 ¼” and was scored on the 7 ¼” side at 1 ¾, 2 ½, 5 and 5 5/8” and it was simply wrapped around the box and secured it in the back with some Tear & Tape.  We then die cut the tag and the hearts from some Blushing Bride and Real Red cardstock and stamped the sentiment with Real Red Ink (the dies and stamps for both projects are from the new Sweet Conversations Bundle).  We wrapped our box with White Twine and added our cute little tag.  To make it really pop we added three of the Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels each right in the center of one of the hearts.  Then we filled the boxes up with those cute little candy conversation hearts (the boxes are food safe).  These made some adorable little treat boxes.

Now for our card.  The card base is Real Red cardstock that is cut 5 ½ x 8 ½”, scored at ¼”.  We then took a piece of Highland Heather cardstock that measured 4 x 5 ¼” and embossed it using the new Gingham Embossing Folder.  We added a strip of the Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper that has Highland Heather stripes that measured 1 x 5” on it to the top of this layer and wrapped a piece of the Real Red 3/8” Ribbon around the layer before we attached that to our card base.

Next, we used the Layering Circles Dies and die cut two circles, one from the Designer Series Paper and one from Real Red Cardstock and layered them onto our card using Dimensionals.  We die cut three little red hearts, one medium red heart and one large red heart (all from the dies in the bundle) out of Real Red Cardstock.  We also die cut one medium and one large heart out of Highland Heather cardstock.  We embossed the two medium hearts with the gingham folder and added the red one right onto our circle of DSP and then added the Highland Heather one onto of that using a Dimensional.  The three little red hearts were added to the card along with three of the Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels.  This completed the outside of the card.

Now for the inside…

We stamped the sentiment (also from the bundle) onto the top center of a piece of Basic White cardstock that measured 5 ¼ x 4” in Real Red ink.  We added the two large hearts that we had die cut to the bottom left inside of the card and there you have it.

I hope you enjoy these projects as much as the ladies who attended my open house did.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.
