HEART SHAPED ANNIVERSARY

Today’s card features the Heart Shaped Bundle which is a freebie offered with qualifying purchases during this years Sale-A-Bration.  I decided not to go for the classic Valentine’s Day card with this set but instead a nice Anniversary card.

Here is what I came up with…

The card base is Cherry Cobbler cardstock cut to 5 ½ x 7” and scored at 4 ¼”.  I cut a piece of Gold Foil to 2 5/8 x 5 3/8” and added it to the left front of my card.  To that I added a piece of the Regal Distressed Patterns Specialty Designer Series Paper (I chose the Basic White and Gold sheet) that measured 2 1/3 x 5 ¼”.

I then cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock to 3 x 3” and centered it vertically but a little to the right of the front of my card and adhered down just the left side so the card would open properly.  I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 2 7/8 x 2 7/8” and using the heart shaped stamp from the bundle I stamped it into the center of the Basic White piece using Cherry Cobbler Ink.  Next, I grabbed a scrap of Gold Foil (about a 3” square) and die cut the coordinating heart using the die in the bundle along with two of the leaves (save this for the inside) and added it on top of the stamped heart image.  I added this to the center of my 3 x 3” piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock.  To finish off the front of the card I simply tied a bow using about 7” of the Cherry Cobbler and Gold Satin Ribbon and attached it with a Mini Glue Dot on my heart.

For the inside of the card I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼” and using the sentiment stamp “Happy Anniversary” from the Layers of Beauty Stamp Set I stamped the sentiment in the very center of the inside layer (so the outside layer covers it).  For the leaves I closed my card and positioned the leaves so they look as though they are coming out of the center square of the card front.

I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it.  As always you can find the supplies to create this card and more on my website at https://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2206796 or by clicking the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below.  Be sure to follow me at:
