Today’s card was created using the Petal
Park Bundle which will be carrying over into the new catalog but will not be
offered as a bundle after May 2nd so if you want to enjoy a 10% savings
on the stamp and the punch be sure to get your ordered before then. I have really been enjoying this bundle as
punches are always quick and easy to use.
I wanted to show how the stamps could be used both as single images as
well as popping the flowers up to add additional interest.
Here is what I came up
with…
The card base is Petal Pink cut to cut to
5 ½ x 8 1/2” and scored at 4 ¼”. I then added a layer of Design A Daydream
Designer Series Paper (this is a host paper) that measured 4 ¼ x 5 ½” and totally
covered the front of the card. I die cut
a piece of Basic White cardstock using the Scalloped Contour Dies and stamped
it. I started with the stamp from the
set that does the dark outlines of the foliage and stamped that using Mossy
Meadow ink. I then used the stamp that
fills the foliage in using Pear Pizzazz ink.
I added some little Blushing Bride dots around the piece using one of
the stamps that has just these little dots on it (the green ones are on the
foliage stamp). Next, I stamped my
flowers starting with the outline stamp onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock stamping
with Merry Merlot ink. I then used the
stamp that fills the flowers in and stamped them with Blushing Bride ink. I colored the center of the largest two
flowers with a Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend Marker and I punched them out
using the punch from the bundle. Once my
flowers were punched out, I used my bonefolder to curve the sides of the petals
up and attached them to my card with Dimensionals. I added this piece to the center of my card
using Dimensionals. For my sentiment I
stamped the sentiment “Thinking of You” from the Go To Greetings Stamp Set
(this set is perfect for sentiments) onto a scrap of Blushing Bride cardstock
using Mossy Meadow ink and die cut it using a die from the Something Fancy Dies
(remember you can do this same thing with a good pair of scissors if you don’t
have the die). I added that to the left
bottom as shown in the picture and then I added three Iridescent Rhinestone
Basic Jewels to finish up the front of my card.
For the inside of my card, I cut a piece
of Basic White cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼”. I
stamped my foliage just as I did for the front of the card just allowing some
of it to run off the paper, and I added some more of those pink dots. I stamped my flowers using the same colors as
the front of the card I just stamped directly onto the paper this time instead
of punching them out.
I hope you enjoy this card I certainly
enjoyed making it. As always you can
